So The poll for the European Shield is up again.
I have added the feature that you can change your vote before the first match, then the poll will be locked.
For mine Germany.

I suppose you'll be happy if germany win druzik, then germany will get into teir 1 will they not? then you may be able to see Germany Vs Russia/Lebanon/Serbia in germany.
Am i corect in thinking it runs on a year by year relegation/promotion system? Bad luck for the last placed team, they have to head back a teir. Maybe in the next few years they can expand each tier to 4 or 5 and get morrocco, malta and portugal involved, the reason they are not involved now is because no domestic comps right?
Also does the winner of the euro med cup go up to the top teir?

Already seen Geramny vs. Serbia last year in Heidelberg, Serbia thrashed em, though the Germans felt their team in Prague would have given the Serbians a closer run. Yes in all accounts, I think this year and maybe next it will be run with the 4 tiers as is now and then will expand out some more when Holland, Morocco, Malta, Partugal and Greece start to bring in teams with local players. I would hazard a guess eventually you'd have a 6,4,4,4,rest system with maybe the top two tiers fighting it out in a European shield.

Curious the Czechs are not being voted for, I would rank them way ahead of the Italians.
Remember I have put on the retraction button so you can change your vote. The Poll gets automaticcally locked on the first day of the tournament.

Yeah the Czechs for me. How people expect Italy to be winning is beyond me. They do not have the experience. Sure they have players from Australia but I would call them second rate in my local competition. I wish I had some sort of grandparent rule other than England so i could have a run on for one of those teams. I need to start playing again.

Its local players from their 3 domestic teams I think... no Aussies. Italy actually have a bit of experience. They have had games over the last two years in Europe against the South Africans.

I just changed my vote to germany, I don't really know why i had Italy to start, I guess i though they might get a few quality union players or something.
So dan you know a bit about the state of RL in these 3 countries, what crowds do you think they will get to each game? Same for Euro-Med and Bowl if you think you could acuratley guess

Well if last year was anything to go by then a couple hundred, but I think in italy because its being played in a general Rugby league atmosphere in a proper stadium then we may see a larger crowd. Be interesting to see how Tiziano has promoted things with the Euro shield and 9's tournament on the one weeknd.
The Bowl matches I have absolutely noooo idea. This is the first year of anything like this happening for those countries.
The med could have some decent crowds, Outside britain and France these are the next three big RL countries, russia pulss crowds in the lower thousnds and serbis will probably draw at least 500-1000 people I would say and Lebanon also could be in teh lower thousnads. Be interesting to see.

I went for Germany, I'm really looking foward to this competition even if it's just looking at results.
