old trafford is out of the question, united don't like 1 game a season played there let alone 2.. and playing twice at wembley would be overkill, playing the final @ wembley would be abit risky because england might not get there, playing a ENGLAND group game there would be the only option and i reckon it could generate a 70,000plus crowd...even more if we win the world cup.. OK, yeh I didn't think about Man U, I suppose they would blame it on the international if the lost the next time they played there. Has RL ever been played at Twickenham? Not suggesting we should play there just interested to know. have 4 teams instead of 3 serves 2 purposes. 1. it pushes forward the development of the 4th team whether it be france, wales, tonga, samoa, png etc.. 2. a 4 team comp with each team playing each other once rather than twice as in the tri nations means the comp would take less time to complete, 4 weeks, where as the tri nations takes 7 weeks. I agree 4 is the way to go, the tri-nations drags on a bit and there is only 1 game a week. This way we can see 2 games a week and it can run for a tidy 4 weeks which is plenty.

twickenham is'nt a option anymore,we've played a couple or 3 challenge cup finals there while wembley was being rebuilt and the opening game of the 2000 RLWC was played there between england & australia.....anway wembley is the national rugby league stadium, we should use it more..

I would rather big games be played at Wembley than Twickers anyway, such a famous stadium and 10k bigger. It should definatley be used for big games like those against Australia and WC games in 2013.

Also Parc Des Princes is massive but I had a look and there aren't any better options is Paris. How far is Breziers from Perpignan? I see no reason why every game in England can't get 40k+ (if stadium permitts) and every game in France get over 14k. It will need to be promoted alot though.

first of all the england v australia game in the 4 nations is, possibly, gonna be held at wembley....it will defo if england win the world cup or run australia close in the final.. Spud we cant even fill a 40,000 stadium in Manchester for an Aussie test, I wouldnt like to see us use wembley for a test. I guess 70k isnt impossible IF we win the world cup i've proposed that the opening game of the 4 nations is a double header, NZ v AUS & FRA v ENG @ the stade municiple in toulouse,a very good chance of a 30k+ attendance, which would also represent the largest attended RL game in france ever i think?..would be a great boost for the game.. I dont see how you have arrived at the 30k figure spud, the recent test in Toulouse v England got less than 10k and the internationals in France reguarly get this kind of figure I think the best you could hope for is 15-20k

don't pay too much attention to the attendance for the france v england test, the toulouse RU team made the french grand final that weekend so most of the rugby fans were in paris..
30,000 for a 4 nations double header is very achievable imo
as for wembley, win the world cup and we'll fill it no probs

Well I suppose it does hinge on France being competitive, I think they will be able to compete but time will tell I suppose. I'm sure the tournament can still make a tidy profit even if France don't do well. The next couple of Tri nations almost completely hang on France ability to compete with the big three. Just not being embarresed is the key for them in 09 Next year I presume the 4 nations will be held all in England and France with one game in Australia or New Zealand. Of those game France's games against Australia and NZ in France to raise some interest in the country itself. I see no reason why a France 4 nations international couldn't sell out Aime Giral and get 12,000+ to Toulouse or Paris. Theres no reason why they couldnt sell out in perpignan, but not aime giral have the games at the League stadium game at the Stade gilbert brutus which i belive will be 12k capacity with the new stand 10-12k against the aussies is well possible Also France V England could be the opening ceremony in England somewhere so that would sell quite well. No mate, the opening cermony has to be Eng v Aus especially if they take a game to wembley as spud says, a final at wembley not involving England would be a disaster. On Paper that could be a very profitable tournament. since we dont know how much the tickets cost or how much the relevant authorities would want to use the facilitys or how many people would turn up, Im not sure how you arrived at this jim Well time will tell I suppose, I think they will keep improving and with the squad they have and with alot of young Franchies coming up through Catalans I think the future is bright. It is very bright but what we need to do is walk before we can run, at current Catalans are just about toddling. If you pardon the analogy. Keep in mind the Kiwis only lost to GB by 6 points in 2 games. The NZ side that played GB in the 3rd test would have been pretty much the same as the one that played France and there wasn't much difference in results. so what? England were easily the better side in all 3 tests, and the fact remains a below par NZ played out the game against France and still won, and bear in mind the problems within the camp which we are all aware of. AND england have comprehensivley beaten France reguarly!! I wonder if there's any chance one of them will be signed with the broncos? Probably not but it will be a great boost for France Who knows mate, maybe but doubful, it would be a huge gamble for the Broncos, and the player. even though I would only have 1 of them in my French Squad but it ain't me picking it I suppose. Which one mate? I wondering if they are playing any games? Surely France would have them playing in the Brisbane leagues if not a higher level. I'm not sure can you get team lists for all the broncos feeder clubs, they would soon tell you, The training will be a million miles away from what their used to and TBH if they were in France they would be sat on their arse anyway. Fingers crossed for all teams especially France and NZ. Gossard is out already I think and there are a few Frenchies out for Catalans ATM, fingers crossed they get a full strength side on the park. Yeah 6 Franch first graders out at the weekend I agree with you, I would like to see PNG beat someone in this tournament but they're squad in all honesty is one of the weakest, mind you one of the most Authentic. The PNG locals will be of a decent standard I would think, I thought I heard somewhere that alot of PNG players are professionals and pretty much full time, still I doubt they would have the infastructure to be anywhere near NRL or SL quality. Yeah I agree much the same as the Russians being Semi-Pro but not upto the English Ameteur level. TBH the PNg lads must be up to a certain standard... the team scored a draw against top NRL youngsters, but when the big games come around Im sure we cant look past the big 3 I would like to see a club or two take on some PNG juniors, maybe a club could do an agreement to take on two or three PNG under 20 players a year. Aussie clubs should maybe tap into the PNG talent more but for whatever reasons they dont
