8 in a 14 team comp is a bit silly, but 3... well you have to give the RFL credit for thinking outside the box at least.

its not just the numbers, the fact is theres barely enough sides for a competetive 6 team play off, Warrington were dire and Catalans limped into the playoffs giving you a predictable Wiagn, Saints, Bradford and Leeds last four

idea 3 is totally stupid. they should play the lowest ranked remaining team - end of story!

Cheers Jim...
I initially though he went to Celtic but quickly realised that was Jason Chan from PNG.
BTW eveyone am adding a pole to this thread for who will win/be finalists. so two options.

I havent heard of any other countries being so anal.

basically players coming through who played on Amateur visas for Semi-pro teams like my club Barrow, the loophole allwoing these players to work in the UK and get a small wage from the game is being closed.
Personally I think its a good thing, it means that players who arent good enough to get a gig in Aus or SL wont clog up the UK lower leagues, but it should allow clubs to sign world cup players, we have seen that with Barrow signing 3 Fijians and 3 or 4 PNG players moving to various UK clubs.
