Hey Druzik, I noticed a post on the RLWC site and thought I'd answer it here as I feel there are too many morons over there (just look at the posts above and below your one - www.rlwc08.com/forums/thread/282280.aspx) The NZRL has scrapped the Bartercard Cup and the National Club Competition which Wainui won last year. The local club competitions are going on at the moment. For results, ladders, etc check out: www.sportingpulse.com/select_node.cgi?cID=2214&p=16After these competitions have finished there will be a National Provincial Competition (NZPC) involving Auckland, Waikato, Bay Of Plenty, Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury. I think the game is going backwards in NZ with the NZRL making such regular changes. It's really disheartening for both players and supporters; last year I followed the Wellington Orcas (Bartercard Cup) closely and went to all the home games and there was a massive improvement from the players as individuals and as a team. Now most of the players have left the Wellington league scene and either gone to Aussie or switched to Union. There's just nothing for players to aim for in NZ. Anyway, hope that fills you Druzik.

Wow that is what I am looking for... Lots of work there. OK Question what do you think I should include. The top division of every provence and then have the NZPC in the rep section or just have the NZPC in the leagues section?
Thanks for your answer Beez.
Its disheartening to hear about NZRL, hopefully they can pull through and go on the up. AC seems to have done some real damage to it.

Having all the provincial comps on there could be a lot. There's about 18 teams in Auckland alone.
Maybe just stick with the NZPC - I'll try to find a draw somewhere (I do remember seeing Wellington's fixtures at some point). It kicks off in August and all teams plays each other once so I guess it'll run for 7 weeks.
I always feel embarrassed looking at your domestic tables page and seeing places like Jamaica and Serbia updated and NZ with the 2007 results.

Just looking through that I think I'll get each region up and do the NZPC in the rep section, similar to the South Africa RL.
Beez do not despair I am slowly getting there... help from people such as yourself with stuff like this is always greatly appreciated.

Thanks Druzik, glad I can help you.
Your work is truly amazing - I'd have no idea some of those leagues even existed, let alone be able to find scores and tables, without you.

Yeah its amazing how the game has spread. Being able to speak polish it makes life a bit easier with the Czechs and Russians and Serbs to a certain degree as they are all from the same base language.
Some of the places where the game is played are truly spectacular.

There just isn't any positives at the moment, the NZRL is always losing money or someone's quiting or else there's a scandal. Rugby League is also losing its heartlands here, the west coast and Northern Waikato are no longer massive RL areas. Beez, do you know if this tournament will be on free to air?

I read a while ago that Maori TV will be showing a few games (probably one per weekend).
Can't remember when or where I read this. There's just so little news about this competition but I have heard Wellington has selected its squad but I have no idea who's in it, and Canterbury had a trial a few weeks ago. Other than that all I know is Graeme Lowe is coaching BOP (for now anyway).
But yeah, I think IF the NZPC goes ahead Maori TV will show some games.
If anyone else can shed some light on the NZPC or any other news on the NZ rugby league scene - post it here.

Wellington finals results:
July 12: Wainui 44 Upper Hutt 10 Norths 48 St George 0 Randwick 18 Uni 14 Te Aroha 22 Petone 20
July 19: Randwick 18 Petone 12 Uni 16 Te Aroha 14
So July 26 it's: Wainui v Randwick Norths v University

Results from July 26th:
Wainui beat Randwick 30-22 (ht 12-14)
Norths beat University 39-26 (ht 22-8)
Both very competitive games. University really pushed Norths.
So it's Norths v Wainui at the Hutt Rec next Sunday (I believe). Norths have dominated the Wellington comp for the past few years but have a habit of choking while Wainui are last years Wellington and National champs. Should be a cracker.
