Be great to se some of those guys get a chance at another comp.
Are any of the NL2/1 teams looking at these guys?
How are Oldhams prospects these days in terms of money to get these guys over (200k just isn't enough I say).

Hopefully each game can get crowds in excess of 1000, would be absolutley brilliant if a TV station covered the games in any of the three countries, unlikely though.

Interim Lebanon head coach Remond Safi has rung the changes – both forced and unforced - to the Cedars train-on squad currently preparing to face Russia and Serbia this autumn in the Euro Med Challenge.
Untested AUB halfback Anthony Ghossein, along with Espoir duo wing Megho Keychian and prop Adel Kanso have all withdrawn from the squad due to work commitments, while incumbent Espoir halfback Danny Chemaly has withdrawn with a knee injury.
Safi has recalled 2007 Liban Espoir tourist Ibrahim Ballout as a direct replacement for Kanso, while former Espoir captain and Cedar Jad Abinassif, who played against Russia in the 2006 World Cup qualifier in London, bolstered the squad this week having returned from Doha, Qatar.
In addition to Abinassif, Safi has added another back to the train-on squad in Paul Jabbour of Essex based Rugby League Conference club Hainault Bulldogs. The former St George junior, whose Bulldogs side tops the RLC’s East Division, will be trialed by Safi and technical director Danny Kazandjian during their coach education trip to England later this month.
Other additions to the squad will be hooker Fadi Azzam, who is poised to return from the UAE in September, and second row Rudy Hachache. __________________

Spider a few questions if i may 1. How much media attention is this game/tournament getting? Very small, just few articles in sports daily newspaper "Sport" about tournament. Novi Sad based local TV stations covered the event yesterday with short reports in their info issues. 2. What sort of crowd are you expecting for the home game? We expected about 500, but thretting of rainy day probably discouraged all those who are not the true fans of RL in Novi Sad. Abot 50 people came from Belgrade and he rest were from Novi Sad. 3. Is there any way I will be able to see this game? will a DVD be made? Unfortunately, no. Full match was not covered (as we always have done), because the organization partly fell on the back of the host city crew and that as their issue. I'll try to find out is it possible to take the records of TV stations who attended the game, but I don't really know how long did they present at the stands. About the game now. Russians, as shown above, took the early lead scoring through wing. We expected that, because we watched some Russian championships games and Ireland v Russia (they also led than scoring tries wide). After that the game was equal, with denied try for us by Russian touch judge. Shortly after that visitor scored again in the same fashion, but at the other side of the field. In the last minute of the first half, man of the match Roman Ovchinnikov scored a try for halftime score 0-20. In the second half, Serbia scored a try by U18 star Austen Novakovic after about ten minutes. Five minutes later, Russians scored again by winger Zagoskin and 12 minutes till the end by prop Bojoukov. At the end, I think that we challenged them and that they didn't control the game after 15th minute. All neutrals who watched the game noticed that and said that the final score does not reflect the happenings on the field. Try count (6-1 for Russians) is reduced since our last game two years ago (it was 9-0 for them). Of course, they deserved the win and I think that they will win next week v Lebanon. Serbian team will prepare for the Lebanon game, I just hope Alitalia will not cancel our flight there.

Very small, just few articles in sports daily newspaper "Sport" about tournament. Novi Sad based local TV stations covered the event yesterday with short reports in their info issues. So it got a bit of coverage on TV? that's good news. I didn't expect it to be on national news or anything just a bit of local coverage in newspapers etc. We expected about 500, but thretting of rainy day probably discouraged all those who are not the true fans of RL in Novi Sad. Abot 50 people came from Belgrade and he rest were from Novi Sad. That's a decent turnout seeing as the wheather wasn't great. Also just on attendances do you know what the other 2 games are expecting? I saw somewhere else that the Russian were expecting a big crowd, not sure what that would be, what is considered a big turn out in Russia? 5000? About the game now. Russians, as shown above, took the early lead scoring through wing. We expected that, because we watched some Russian championships games and Ireland v Russia (they also led than scoring tries wide). Well done to both teams, sound slike a competitive game and Serbia certainly have improved judging by their last meeting with Russia.
