Great news that Sky will cover some games. This gives an outisde chance of Fox running the games. I'll email them a request anyway, I urge others to assist me.
A true sucess would be getting Italy, Serbia, Ireland and Lebanon to get their home games on national TV, that might be a bit too much to ask for this year though.
What about crowd predictions? Serbia - 1000 Lebanon - 3000 Wales - 4000 Ireland - 2000 Scotland - 2000 Italy - 1000 Final - 6000
That would be reasonable IMO.

Yes. I hope fox does pick it up, is there a petition we can sign upto somwhere?

I don't know? maybe one of us should start one. I wouldn't know how though.

i'd be suprised if sky cover the games outside of the UK. PNG is very expensive to send a crew over there to cover the pacific cup so i dont think that will happen.
in a way this is the first year for pacific cup and european nations. this year will be about establishing the tournaments as regular fixtures in the international calender. whilst giving the winning countries a very significant oportunity to compete with the big boys of the four nations it also takes prestige away from the euro cup or Pac cup the following year. for example i think the profile of this years european nations would be significantly higher if France were involved. also when the winner of this years pacific cup is taken out of the next pacific cup a gaping hole will be made. i must say i support the current structure of rewarding the winning teams of the"lesser" tournaments but its very important a review be made after the 2013 rlwc. if this doesnt happen the european nations and pacific cup will forever be seen as reserve grade tournaments.
while im on the year 2013 will be a big year for RL with 2 new NRL teams set to come in and a promising RLWC at the end of it.

I'm really looking forward to this comp, have already bought my tickets for wales vs ireland and final (only £5 for students!). Lebanon might even have El Magic playing for them, that'd be something special.

Lebanon squad has plenty of NSW cup players in it. Looks very strong as does the Wales squad. Serbia have of course got a squad made mostly of domestic players.
I look forward to seeing what kind of squad Ireland will be naming.

IRELAND supremo Andy Kelly has hailed his new-look squad, while also looking to build on the success of the Wolfhounds in the World Cup, where they made the play off for the semi final and won a host of friends.
“In naming the 28 man training squad it represents a new dawn for RLI” Kelly commented. “Following on from our very successful World Cup in 2008 we have looked at bringing a number of the younger players who have been pushing for inclusion. The selection has been interesting especially if you consider the injured players not on the list such as Damien Blanch and Simon Finnigan.”
Among those who receive a first call up are Warrington sensation Tyrone McCarthy who gained a winners’ medal in the Carnegie Challenge Cup, Leeds Rhinos prop Luke Ambler, Harlequins’ Jason Golden and Barrow’s influential half back James Coyle.
