This is something that has been said for a while in the NRL now, that the refs are being biased.... its a worrying trend. It seems that some of the refs want to be bigger than the players and game. All refs THINK they are bigger than the game, but come on Dan, your a highly educated guy, we all know the game extensivley, you cant honestly be telling me you think that refs are biased, its the kind of thing i hear from a 50 year old Wakefieild housewife cos her favourite little sam obst has been high tackled by that nasty Castleford player again, that Steve Ganson he hates us he does!! Its complete idiocy to suggest refs are deliberatly biased.

Yeah bloody mind games... I think the strips need to be set on a few months before the start. I hope the Warriors pummel them both! Broncos pummeled by the Warriors today. Seems the jersey didn't help them at all. Oh btw Broncos fans were doing the walk 10 minutes before the game ended hahaha

im a warriors fan but just got back from the bulldogs v roosters game (shaped up to look like a great clash).. have never heard so many screams of "HEY, BREAK IT UP BOYS" on a train or train station (lidcombe stn) in my life. my question to any bulldogs fans out there; do you all shop at insport and get your hair cut from an out of control razor from planet half finished?

Referee's have been marginally better this week but are still giving away to many soft penalties. Newcastle were hung on nearly every thing. There where times in that game I as a Manly fan were going what was that penalty for(Newcastle getting pinged)?
But I think the biggest talking point this week will be whats going on at the broncos getting belted 48 - 16

your going over to Auckland this week aren't you Anthony?... do u mind if i ask how much it cost u to finance the trip. thinking of doing one of my own It's a bit hexy doing it via Manly's official travel agent so around $1700 but that includes flights, 5 * accomadation, game ticket and breakfast for 4 days. Had to pay extra for the meet the players etc. You might be able to do it cheaper though. I'll talk to the organiser of the Travelling Supportahs and get back to you next week (who's the travel agent) to see what he's got on offer for other clubs. I know he recently got the Titans and Panthers (I think) to basically do what we do. So he might be able to organise something with the Warriors for supporters to go to home games if they live in Australia like yourself.

I haven't had a rant on the referee's for a couple of weekend's now but last night's game between the Titans and the Storm is an all new disgrace to how low the ref's are in Australia. I hope we revert back to a single ref in the very near future.
I love how the English have there game played it seems so pure.

WOW!!!!!! What an interesting 24hr's we've had, here in Australia. AS many of you have heard the Storm have had the 2007, 2009 premiership's striped of them, the Minor Premierships and docked all of this seasons points and can't acquire anymore basically guaranteeing the Storm go from premiers to Wooden Spooners in one season. Also have heard the RFL will be striping the WCC trophy of them

I feel for them... but this is the time to rally and show support for the club and players... we need Melbourne in the comp.
I hope that the fans turn up on the weekend.

they were hard dealt by. to put this into perspective the storm didnt say "lets spend 10% over the salary cap and go out and take thurstan from the cowboys, lockyer from broncos and price from the warriors". no , they spent the money retaining players they developed as a club. the only club that inglis, slater, smith , cronk , lima etc have ever known is the storm! developing players should be rewarded under the salary cap anyway. the more i think about this the more i see it as a severe overreaction.
if anyone saw half time with phil gould last night i agree with everything he said. dont make the storm play 18 wounds for nothing but pride! u will destroy the club. the moment the club is able to get their roster under the $4.1m salary cap is the moment they can start earning points.
back to rewarding development; i think we all know what club is holding this back; the roosters! the roosters have the most powerful corperate board of any club and yield significant power. they obviously rarely develop their own players. im a reserved season ticket holder of the club and paid near $300 for that privalage. i really like this club (although im a warriors fan) but lets be realistic, they're leaches.
