Marv, dont; you agree French RL is played in some of the most spectacular spots in the world. I do, the location of some of the grounds i'm told is breathtaking, I honestly cant wait until next year when I get to see for myself.

Yeah, I am told St Gaudens is the most spectacular, with Avignion and Carcassonne not far behind.
Beziers was a bit of a let down with the stadium being in the industrial area of the city.

Sadly it turns out that the first of the magic weekend is being called off and the games will be playes as a normal round with home/away format. This is a bummer as I was looking forward to a weekend of League, but this just means that rather than 5 games I'll see one game in Carcassonne. Below is a reply I got from Cliff Spraklen on TRL. Sadly the rumour I had just picked up is correct. Just spoken to Jean-Alain Rives, of St Gaudens, Chair of the LER. He said the December 13 games will not now take place at one neutral stadium. They will take place according to the fixtures previously listed, but at the grounds of the first named club. This draw was based on last seasons placings. Only the March "extra games" will now take place at a neutral venue, which he said was most likely to be Narbonne, though this could not be confirmed officially. Very frustrating. Been some problems securing a stadium that would/could take 5 games at one go, at the right cost, on the day envisaged, etc. "Below was the original proposal from the LER. It does show the "extra games" fixtures. The formula for the March weekend will be according to positions at the time. "VOICI LA NOUVELLE FORMULE DU CHAMPIONNAT: 1ère nouveauté : l’instauration d’ EXTRA GAMES.

Looks like the Elite 1 is going to get 1 game a week live on orange TV. Great step for them. Here's the Carcassonne vs Limoux game from last weekend, supposed to be a top notch match. www.ecranlocal.com/index.php?id=220
