I am more frustrated than worried, although I am worried. Frustrated that a decent team on paper with some great players can produce that absolute rubbish consisently. A full strength side would help but sweet jesus the way they played tonight they looked like a Championship 2 side. If they could play to their best they won't be embarresed in the 4N, problem is in the WC and this game they have severly under performed and I can't work out why Agree Jin, it was a more frustrating performance more than anything... look in reality teams like France PNG need more top level games and the way things are structured that does not happen and will not happen. Dont be fooled by the Pacific and Euro cups and all that, they are good starts but just dont do enough. The 4N games for france will do them a world og good coming up against the triumvate. You'll see that who ever come in next year from the PIs will also get a pasting... for exactly the same reason and problem. Coaches have gone through and wiped the slate clean and are re building their teams... the same needs to be done for the RLIF.

does anyone know the crowd for the game? Nope But i would give it close to 9k. I have been at Jean bouin in a 6k crowd and it was defo bigger than when I was there in 2007.

does anyone know the crowd for the game? 7,369 Average crowd really, can't be good for all the new comers whom turned up to watch what was a disasterous first half, not just for French RL but for International RL.

Jimwhydisastrour....what is it with Rugby league and catastophism... its like we are terrified of blow outs... why is every other sport allowed to have them and not us? Yes France were frustrating because they should have played better... but on the positive side England had the goods and look pretty well drilled and barring disastrous injuries may be the goods in the 4N... there finally seems some depth in the ramks there.

Its just been hard to get on email sometimes with the amount of travelling and recovering I have been doing (rural polish weddings can be doozys!) plus my friend in Warsaw had internet connection issues to it was sporadic at best. Am at my cousins in Starachowice now.

Maybe not a disaster but it sure didn't do it any good. A good result for France would have done a World of good for the game, unfortunatley they turned up 40 minutes too late. I agree with sportsmad that baring a France miracle in the 4N an England win would be the best for International RL. They would then have to back it up by at least making the final and a competitive game of the '10 4N. A France victory would also be massive, at this point their best bet is against NZ I think, I imagine a victory against the World Champions would create great interest media and public. I think England will go well, alot better than the WC anyway. France on the other baring more injuries should have a much better side and include Greenshields and it's a dangerous looking side. France Potential 4N side: 1. C Greenshields 2. V Duport 3. JP Baile 4. S Planas 5. D Pelo 6. C McGuire 7. T Bosc 8. D Ferriol 9. J Rinaldi 10. J Guisset 11. E Anselme 12. O Elima 13. G Mounis 14. R Casty 15. S Martins 16. C Gossard 17. K Bentley That my folks would be 17 full time players. Not sure about McGuire but Greenshields has been strongly rumoured to be switching which would be great for France.

Interesting.... Imight see what I can find out... I met Clint last year and have his email somewhere......
BTW dont get too discouraged by that crowd... 7.5k in Paris for a RL gameisfeking great... it looked alot more full on TV than when I was at the NZ gamein 07... remember its only 12k stadium,so it was like 60% full.
I think blameshould lay on the RFLfor not doing more topush for the english crowds to head down. That would have made it look wonderful.
Apparently the FFRXIII really did a massive marketing campaign the 2weeks before hand, putting fliers in cars all over Paris... ticket givaways in comps and stuff and gave someaway for free... which is done properly can be a good idea.

It's good that they did plenty of promotion but it might be hard getting those 7,200 back for the 4N game against Australia, especially since it shapes to be a similar scoreline. Hopefully they are full strength and alot goes right for them or else it could be a masacre.

I will be very happy for to happen.

That game was a disaster, to dress it up as anything else is madness. the crowd was piss poor bill arthur stated on sky over 2k free tickets were given out and how many of those guys are coming back after that shambles.
Jim, not being funny mate but when you take out 6 top line players out of any side let alone a weak squad like France your struggling.
people have made a lot of France having more F/T players than usual but Barthau and Vaccari despite being Catalans players have never played SL, so they are playing at LER level, end of. the toulouse guys are playing championship but thats a mile away from the quality the England side are at.
Guys like Casty and Gossard 90% of the time they are bench players, squad players not top line players.
Murcia should never be given a test jersey again. 7 tackle atttempts 4 of them missed, nothing in attack.
I am pissed off about this game and I find it staggering that anyone can find positives about it, bar a spirited 2nd half performance when England knew they had the game won there was nothing.

Planas was a passenger IMO he is too light, if Mogg calls he should play, that side has given me a little bit of heart though mate.
