I think it will be just under 10k ish. That will still look good in The Jean Bouin... its a 12k stadium from memory. I am tossing up weather I will pop over to Paris for this now... might be a good match. hmmmm.... looks like I will go to Denmark to see their 9s tourney as well, trying to sort out logistics for that.

Admirable from Bobbie and Im glad he is looking to the long term, but In all honesty if France get touched up by England again then he might have to rethink that policy for the 4N Who would make the side better though? Maybe Wynne at Five-Eight with Bosc at HB but thats all i can really think of. End of year rumour is Greenshields will make himself available which would be a tremendous boost to the national team. McGuire and Mogg also become eligable but neither of those would be nearly as important to the side than Greenshields. Don't even get me started on Croker, he's no chance. I found it interesting that Bobbie said he would have played Pelo at FB, I suggested that could give this a go for a trial game last year. It would have been interesting to see how he went. Pretty damn close there Jim, Have you got a crystal ball kncking around there? obviously this is not Tonys team but the 19 man squad more or less picks itself. . I think it was more or less obvious that they were going to give a few regulars a rest and test some young talent. Moore has been the form hooker in SL, Myler deserves a second test and England need to try and establish another International quality halfback so they more than one to pick from! Shenton and Atkins are more or less battling to take Seniors spot in the 4N. The real suprises for me though, no LMS or Westerman. www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=rleague/09/06/05/RUGBYL_France.htmlFrance: Planas, Anselme, Griffi, Villegas (all Toulouse) Baile, K Bentley, Bosc, Casty, Duport, Stacul, Elima, Mounis, Ferriol, Gossard, Guisset (all Dragons), Gagliazzo (Carcassonne), Martins (Pia), Murcia (Limoux). a bit of a surprise in no Rinaldi named. for me Villegas Planas Baille Duport Stacul Bosc Murcia Ferriol Bentley Guisset Elima Anselme Mounis That's a fairly strong side, suprised as anyone to see no Rinaldi though? More or less picks itself: Villegas Duport Baille Planas Stacul Murcia Bosc Ferriol Bentley Guisset Elima Anselme Mounis Martins Griffi Casty Gossard Gagliazzo - Don't know much about this guy? Also very good to see the three youngsters will train with the squad for experience.

Who knows, I would say Croker is defo the wrong side of 30, possibly the wrong side of 35!! but Mogg, McGuire and Greenshelds would make the backs a lot stronger. At the end of the day the back line is very young and inexperienced at test level, and before Druzik bites my head off suggesting players need games before they can be considered experienced, you need experience around you to learn in the first place. Is all Im saying I found it interesting that Bobbie said he would have played Pelo at FB, I suggested that could give this a go for a trial game last year. It would have been interesting to see how he went. He has played there for Dragons and UTC, It was discussed on another board, he probably isnt good enough to be a test FB, certainly as he isnt a natural FB anyway. Anything is worth a try though. . Shenton and Atkins are more or less battling to take Seniors spot in the 4N. The real suprises for me though, no LMS or Westerman.. Westerman added today mate. LMS should be there, but I can see why he has gone with an experienced pack, the French pack are as strong as anyone on the day. : That's a fairly strong side, suprised as anyone to see no Rinaldi though? Also very good to see the three youngsters will train with the squad for experience. Heard Rinaldi wasnt willing to fully commit, the Bradford deal is only short term by the time the 4n comes round he could be without a club, might not happen, but worth a look at other players for this one I suppose. I have also heard Villegas at 6, bosc at 1 Murcia at 7 we shall see. Gagliazzo is a very experienced forward with about 30 caps to his name, havent seen him in a full squad for a while though.

At the end of the day the back line is very young and inexperienced at test level, and before Druzik bites my head off suggesting players need games before they can be considered experienced, you need experience around you to learn in the first place. Is all Im saying. McGuire and Mogg would be great but not nearly as essential as Greenshields. The way I see it France will have one of the best Fullbacks in the World available for them so there is no sense in not picking him. The Centres are looking fairly healthy with 2 full time players there for the first time in a long time and both in form too. McGuire would be handy in the halves with Bosc or at Hooker with Bentley on the Bench. He has played there for Dragons and UTC, It was discussed on another board, he probably isnt good enough to be a test FB, certainly as he isnt a natural FB anyway. Anything is worth a try though. Exactly, until (fingers crossed) Greenshields jumps on board they have squat in way of quality no.1's Westerman added today mate. LMS should be there, but I can see why he has gone with an experienced pack, the French pack are as strong as anyone on the day. That makes sense yes, good to see Westerman there although at this point he seems to be Smith's 3rd choice behind O'Loghlin and Sinfield, that could have something to do with him coming back from injury and the fact he is only 19. Heard Rinaldi wasnt willing to fully commit, the Bradford deal is only short term by the time the 4n comes round he could be without a club, might not happen, but worth a look at other players for this one I suppose. I hope he can find a club, maybe Toulouse would be worth a look for him, if not he should definatley try to find a SL or Championship club. I have also heard Villegas at 6, bosc at 1 Murcia at 7 we shall see. I don't think that would be best, having an inexperienced and part time players in the halves doesn't look good for their chances.

But personally I would pick Mogg and McGuire romour is that Cyril Gossard is going into the 3/4 for this game, which seems strange. That makes sense yes, good to see Westerman there although at this point he seems to be Smith's 3rd choice behind O'Loghlin and Sinfield, that could have something to do with him coming back from injury and the fact he is only 19. Id place Westerman behind Purdham at Quins too. I hope he can find a club, maybe Toulouse would be worth a look for him, if not he should definatley try to find a SL or Championship club. Me too, but I understand why Bobbie is looking elsewhere for this one. I don't think that would be best, having an inexperienced and part time players in the halves doesn't look good for their chances. True, but In saying that would you like to have a P/T player at FB either? not for me.

Ferriol out and Elima looking doubtful.
Jarryd Maxwell has been brought over from Aus to officiate the game too, reffed Toulouse' game against Gateshead over the weekend.
