I definatley think the mid-year test against France should a permanent fixture on the international calender. yeah i agree it should be continued Also starting in 2010 I would like to see a 3 game series between England, France and Wales. That should be the idea allthough England would walk it for about 10 year Any PMXIII or England A team should be touring the likes of Russia, Serbia and South Africa IMO. Although England A would probably kill all those team, maybe Under 23's like marv Suggested. I think even U23's would cut them up personally

Not with England sides they dont, they dont need to, England soccer could sell out anywhere in the world, England V Wales RU would sell like hotcakes, I will stick my neck down and say there are less than 5k at doncaster next week. Its not the fault of other sports that RL fans couldnt give a toss about whats happening outside their own town, England A does not sell, I attended an England A game aginast France, there ws also the Tonga v Samoa game on - crowd of 6k The full GB side drew a crowd of 12k for the last GB v France game, same stadium - me and you went to this game.

I think any "A" games should be played in the other countries back yeard. PNG V PMXIII got was packed in PNG and if PNG has a stadium the size of ANZ it would probablt be full, if you played the game in Australia though you would be lucky to get 10k anywhere I think. I think England A V Russia/Ireland/Scotland would get a better crowd in Russia/Ireland/Scotland then it would in England. England A is just a 2nd rate team in the eyes of English fans but it would most likelt be the best team to come to a country like Russia in a long time. I think England A V Russia in England would struggle to get 5-10k but in Russia it would get atleast that.

Nah only 200,000 ppl in Port Moresby, an ANZ sized stadium will take 1/2 the population of the capital. Doubt that would happen.

Nah... my cousin is visiting me at the moment and he works in PNG alot for the government and has seen Lloys robinson and knows the city well. We actually were atlking about the game last night and he said that theres no point in having a bigger stadium as PM is 200,000 and most of those are transients too.

I still think they could fill a 30k seat stadium, from what I have heard there was about 20,000 people around the stadium that coundn't get in.

www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,24414749-23214,00.html The quote of the week in my eyes. Quote from another article "Police Inspector Andy Bawa said his officers were pleased with the outcome, describing the event as more "controlled" than usual."

I think a kid died. It looked like it on the news. Basically he was short so he got kicked by someone in the head and trampled. Could be wrong.
Anyway. I think it would be a nice gesture if when you read this we bowed our heads for a minute in memory.

I dont know Jim, in some ways PNG is a special case, they love thier RL like no other country and are over the moon when the Aussies send an "A" side over for a one off game, as I say the country has been and continues to be shafted because of its undying love of the game. Scotland or Ireland, the general interset in the sport is not that high, for example the Scotland v Wales WCQ only attracted about 900-1,100 fans, this is a winner takes all WCQ so I dont see England A pulling the fans in at all. Regualr competitions against the Celtic nations is whats needed, eventually Wales will become too good, hopefully! Maybe the winners of a comp between Ire,Sco,Wal,Rus could play off for a game against England? As for Russia I dont know what sort of crowds you could expect or the Interest the England RL team could drum up, but we have sent an A side over there before if memory serves me correctly in the old Euro cup, we won about 80-0 but i couldnt tell you anything about the crowd. I think in England you could bank on a couple of thousand tuning up at those games you mentioned and I dont see us eclipsing that in the other counties you mentioned exept, perhaps, Russia, but more because Im reserving judgement rather than being expectant.

Thats a shame if so. .....and we wonder why PNG cant have regualr internationals and an NRL team, behaviour like this isnt going to help
