That's a solid few NRL and SL players. 1. Wes Naiqama 2. Semi Tadulala 3. Darryl Millard 4. Jayson Bukuya 5. Akuila Uate 6. 7. Aaron Groom 8. 9. 10. 11. Ashton Sims 12. Peni Tagive 13. John Sutton 14. 15. 16. 17. Fill in the rest... I know there are some out of position vbut they have alot of wingers and centres. Sounds like more overseas players will probably come forward. Hope they have 3,4,5 locals in their playing team for all games. I think Fiji will be one of the most "genuine" out of the group stages Fiji v France should be the most authentic game of the groups they will go with lots of locals I think but these guys if comitted should give them a bit of backbone, there are a few guys kicking about the english NL's who are fijians Yeh there will probably be a few more, like Watene for a start. I imagine there will be a few in QLD, NSW and Jim beam Cup aswell as the NL's. I'm looking forward to seeing France play and that looks extremly likely unless they finish last. Hopefully I'll see them play in the SFQ but if the come 2nd I'll see them in Rocky. It looks like France will only name 2 NRL players L'estrange and Shillington so that's good.

anyone know anything about Samoa and Tonga being a 22,000 sell out already? Nope havn't heard anything about that. I am sure it will sell out and if it already has that's great news! last I heard the Melbourne game was about 50% sold. No reason the melbourne game won't sell out IMO since a shed load of QLD, NSW and Poms will be there for the Melbourne Cup.

NZ Squad (49 players):
Fraser Anderson (Cronulla) Roy Asotasi (South Sydney) Adam Blair (Melbourne) Nathan Cayless (Parramatta) Rangi Chase (St George Illawarra) Anthony Cherrington (Sydney Roosters) Greg Eastwood (Brisbane) David Fa'alogo (South Sydney) Sonny Fai (NZ Warriors) Nathan Fien (NZ Warriors) Dene Halatau (Wests Tigers) Bronson Harrison (Wests Tigers) Weller Hauraki (Parramatta) Lance Hohaia (NZ Warriors) Krisnan Inu (Parramatta) Masada Iosefa (Penrith) Shaun Kenny-Dowall (Sydney Roosters) David Kidwell (South Sydney) Thomas Leuluai (Wigan) Jeff Lima (Melbourne) Issac Luke (South Sydney) Simon Mannering (NZ Warriors) Sika Manu (Melbourne) Manase Manuokafoa (South Sydney) Benji Marshall (Wests Tigers) Steve Matai (Manly) Ben Matulino (NZ Warriors) Fui Fui Moimoi (Parramatta) Jason Nightingale (St George Illawarra) Eddie Paea (South Sydney) Sam Perrett (Sydney Roosters) Frank Pritchard (Penrith) Sam Rapira (NZ Warriors) Ben Roberts (Bulldogs) Jerome Ropati (NZ Warriors) Setaimata Sa (Sydney Roosters) Jeremy Smith (Melbourne) Iosia Soliola (Sydney Roosters) Chase Stanley (St George Illawarra) Fetuli Talanoa (South Sydney) Taulima Tautai (Parramatta) Lee Te Maari (Bulldogs) Ben Te'o (Wests Tigers) Taniela Tuiaki (Wests Tigers) Evarn Tuimavave (NZ Warriors) Manu Vatuvei (NZ Warriors) Cooper Vuna (Newcastle) Brent Webb (Leeds) Sonny Bill Williams (Bulldogs, subject to availability)
Only 2 Super League players. I haven't watched much SL this season but I thought there would've been at least a couple more (Webster, Whatuira).
Does anyone know if Paul Rauhihi has retired from tests; I'd have him in the final 24 for sure.
And SBW - why? I don't want that guy representing my country; the NZRL continually do stuff like this.

I support Hull KR and I'm really annoyed that Webster has missed out; Whatuira and Rauhihi should be there as well. Me thinks Kearny doesn't watch much super league. No Covell is a suprise as well.

Yeah, like I said I haven't watched much Super League this season but Webster really impressed me early on. Whatuira, Rauhihi, and Louis Anderson also are far better than some of the guys named.
But the final 24 should be fairly solid.

Agree with both of you guys certainly for Webster but with Rauihihis case NZ have some pretty good young forwards and of course experienced guys like Roy.
Would have always expected a team a little weak in 3/4 to take on someone of Websters quality, all in all though a good looking side full of young NRL talent
If Kearney isnt watching much SL you guys should be worried, I think personally, with Kearney having played in SL (fairly) recently he realises that the NRL is better quality and has, as such, picked the NRL boys first.

Or Kerney's worried that clubs will not release the NZ players... one hopes that they will.

They havent in the past fro internationals... would not surprise me. And it does go both ways. When NZ had their mid year test against the Brits the aussie clubs would not release players... all a guilty in my books.
