Then what will it be used for? I understood that it would be used as a guide but it could be ignored and other things could be considered. As i have posted on the thread twice the 10 point guide will be used for the 2012 applications www.therfl.co.uk/~therflc/about/page.php?areaid=193Clubs applying to join the 2009 Super League competition will be assessed against the following four areas:• Stadium facilities. • Finance and business performance. • Commercial and marketing. • Playing strength including junior production and development. Nowhere in that link does it mention the 10 point criteria

You would think that if clubs can only get a C in the 10 point system they wouldn't do very well under this system either.

So with the Toulouse bid in and the current successful run of Catalns in the ESL, sitting at #2, and the franchise announcements not too far off the Horizon, should the ESL or RFL see if Toulouse is willing to accept RL by staging a Dragons home game there to see how many would come out.
Now would be ideal, as theay are doing well and everyone likes a winner, if you can't pull a crowd now then what are their chances when a toulouse team (if it gets in) would get the 8000 or so when losing?

Like the idea but ever since I read the article by clive grithiffs in RLW this month I'm convinced CC should get in now. I would love to see Toulouse there but CC HAVE to be there IMO. So unless they chose both I hope Toulouse don't make it this time. 2012 put them in for sure. Just got me thinking, come 2012 anyone else think we will have a team from scotland, Ireland or another European country bidding. If murrayfield magic goes ahead I'd say it would be automatic to get a team playing in the NL's.

Next round I don't think there will be new teams outside of what we have, maybe one or two more NL teams having a go. Ireland I think want to concentrate on their own comp, the last thing they want to do is get incolved with the UK. Scotland jusrt dont have the player numbers or juniors for a SL bid... yet. Which month or RLW april or May? Havnt got may's issue yet what are they saying?

May, It's basically just Griffiths saying that it would be an outrage, we already missed the boat once in 1995 and should not let it happen again. Didn't know about 1995 before then you might have but it came as to a suprise to me.

6000+ is great for them, I still think they should move to Cardiff or Swansea if they get into SL 2009.

I heard it was only like 30,000 people, in that case it should be moved to cardiff, definatley not millenium stadium but I'm there are a few 20,000, 15,000, 10,000 seat stadiums in cardiff.

The town! Gawd maybe not even that much, maybe with the surrounds, but the town proper itself I would give it 15k, 20 at tops. The ground holds about 8k from memory.
Cardiff has the RU presence there so they have at least 2-3 decent sized and facilitated grounds.

I think CC, Widnes and Salford will get in next year with CAS missing out. Only reason I have gone CAS is because them or Wakey will miss out and I have a mate playing in Wakey academy squad so a bit biased i suppose.

If Cardiff has a large Rugby fan base maybe try and woo the Swansea public over to League, become a new stronghold. Just an idea. I do not know too much about Welsh Rugby Union though.
