What a weekend!Three major international rugby league tournaments continued or began this weekend: The Gillette 4 Nations, the rugbyleague.com European Nations Cup and the SP Brewery Pacific Nations Cup. Altogether 12 of the worlds top nations have been involved in fixtures this weekend. The weekends fixtures kicked off with the Gillette 4 Nations. It was a weekend of Local Derby’s in this tournament where neighbours and traditional rivals did battle. Friday night England and France kicked off proceedings with a gritty match at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium. France came out firing with all cylinders shocking the local side with two great tries. The French looked to be on course to cause an upset as they went into the break 12-4 and seemed to match it for the next 20 minutes of the second stanza. But eventually England’s fitness came into its own and led by Myler’s two tries ran in another 5 tries to none. Despite the 3-Lions beating the les Chanteclairs 34-12 they did look quite rusty and will need to improve against Australia next week... To read more www.rugbyleagueinternationalscores.com/blog

4 Ways to Fix International Rugby League – Part 3 October 31st, 2009
By Daniel Andruczyk
In the last two blogs I have looked at three out of four points on how to improve the international game. One is to unify the rules, second is to clean up the player eligibility rules, third to professionalise the RLIF. Today I continue outlining my fourth point, my solution to fixing the international schedule. I look in detail of how the regional and pan global tournaments would work.

New NRL commission fails to plug all the holes. November 30th, 2009 Sunday 29th November I woke up to the amazing news that all the governing bodies of Rugby League in Australia will finally come under the direction of one all controlling commission. Woo Hoo I said! But as I read the fine print there was one very glaring and obvious part missing, one that will still hamper the development of Rugby League in this nation. Read more.

Revamp of the NRL SeasonDecember 3rd, 2009 By Daniel AndruczykIn recent months, as we see every year, all the “experts” come out telling the NRL and everyone else how to improve the game and the competition. It seems like every hack and his dog has an opinion… and this hack I suppose is no better. I usually tend to stay out of these debates, but I have been persuaded by enough people that I should put out my ideas on what I think. Read More....

The Simulation – Rugby Leagues International Tournaments – Year 1.December 11th, 2009 By Daniel AndruczykBack in October and November I set out a four part series of blogs that outlined my views on how to fix International Rugby League (Read them here). This weeks blogs I have done a simulation to create scores and show how this would work. Read more...
