Well, what a great game that was!. Another huge win for the cookies!. I thought Fiji had it after making that sideline kick with 5 mins to go, but a nice try by the Cookies with a minute to go and it was all over 24-22.
Cookies unstoppable!

Wow so the Samoa win was not a fluke!
Go the Cook Islands. Who would have picked that one hey!
The second half was a bit more grinding, but the last 10 had the PI flari with some wonderful RL played I thought. That CI try in the last minute was absolutely superb.
Cant wait till tomorrows game!
Cook Islands 24 - 22 Fiji

holy shit! well done to the cook islands. is karmichael hunt from the cook islands or shebangabang?
i hate to sound negative here but i would actually prefer PNG to be the PI rep in the four nations next year. they would be a lot more competetive IMO. then again , if the cook islands can win this tournament then theyre clearly a great side....
im very suprised this match couldnt get a 5k sellout. i hope this tournament (along with others) can gain more and more presteige every year it goes on.
i cant remember a bigger weekend for international league than this one.

heard that New Zealand are putting in a bid for a international double header next year. It would be good if Tonga got through then

Yes I saw this in the paper about two weeks ago.
"NRL officials were yesterday unaware of any plan to play alongside a trans-Tasman rugby union Test but confirmed a double-header involving the Kangaroos versus Kiwis and England playing the winner of the coming Pacific Cup, who will be the other team in next year's Four Nations, was on the drawing board for next year".
Apparently for the revamped Eden park theyre trying to bring some big events there. Theyre even trying to bring an Origin match over there.
