this is a thread for anyone who has been to a rugby league game and happened to snap a few photos of the stadium. or if your going to a rugby league game in the future , get a few photos and put them up here. i have been to 7 or 8 NRL stadiums in NSW this year so will be posting pics of them all up here.
ive started the first one off with the 22,000 capacity CUA stadium Penrith, NZ Warriors v Penrith Panthers.

nice photos druzik. ive noticed that british stadiums seem to be a lot older than their australian counterparts. is this just a rugby league thing? headingly seems pretty old

Bulldogs threaten to leave Sydney Olympic Park
The Daily Telegraph can reveal that the usually placid Moore hit the roof when he turned up to the Bulldogs' Homebush training base to find the sprinklers had been left on overnight. It is the second time in a week that the Bulldogs have been forced to train on a water-soaked field.

Moore threatened to take the team back to Belmore during a heated argument with a Sydney Olympic Park official before the Bulldogs took to the slushy field for a training session. The Bulldogs have put up with a series of headaches since moving to Homebush from their traditional Belmore base.
Parking fines, shot-put holes and interruptions caused by school athletics carnivals are all commonplace for the Bulldogs at what was supposed to be a state-of-the-art facility.
Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg has spoken to SOP officials but is understandably losing his patience.

bellmore is fine for training but not games. interesting that todd greenburg used to be the CEO of ANZ stadium i think.

Some are old and some are new... yes this has been the whole thingh about the super league frenchises where teams have to finally get their shit together and develop some good stadiums.

Headingly looks old but its not too bad a stadium to watch the footy at.

No its not just a rugby league thing, Everton FC and Liverpool FCs grounds are also old like many other soccer grounds, but becasue of crowd trouble/disasters a lot of stadium improvements were made over the 80s and 90s.

The main sticking point in RL is the lack of money for re-development. many re-developed grounds dont belong to the clubs that hold them.

I belive Druzik has some photos of my local teams ground, Barrow it is in fact one of the only grounds in pro Rugby league that stil belongs to the sports club.

It will be great when i finally get to go to Aus to see these stadiums, the hillside stands look crazy, could you imagine those in the middle of a wet UK autum, we would all be sliding onto the pitch!!

One of my favorite grounds, got the cricket pitch to the side of the north stand, you can walk right round the whole complex
