Wales Rugby League sign major kit dealWales Rugby League has agreed a significant kit and team-wear deal with international company Samurai Sportswear. The three year deal will see the Welsh international squad wear the newly designed shirt for the first time against England in the Gillette Fusion International in Doncaster on Friday 10 October. The shirt features the three colours that make up the Welsh flag together with black and features more green and white then previous kits. Mark Rowley, Wales Rugby League Chairman: “This is a big step for Welsh Rugby league to be going into partnership with Samurai as they have a rapidly expanding list of partners and we are keen to work together to promote the new shirt in Wales. “The new shirt is a unique design and we are sure it will prove popular with the Welsh public. Simon, Damian, Michelle and the team at Samurai have been great to work with and we have been extremely impressed with their expertise and professionalism.” Simon Hodgkinson, Sales Director Samurai Sportswear: “We are delighted to be producing the new Wales international shirt. Rugby League has a strong tradition in Wales and the sport is on the up in the country with the Crusaders getting into the engage Super League and the amateur game flourishing. Our retailers have already reacted very positively to the new shirt design and we are sure it will be very popular.” As part of the new deal all the Wales representative junior and amateur teams will all be kitted out in the Samurai Sportswear specially designed team-wear. The new shirt will be priced £44.99 and will be in shops in time for Christmas along with a wide range of Wales Rugby League merchandise. Wales Coach John Dixon, who was appointed to the role in June, will name his 19 man squad to face England on Tuesday. With the recent retirements of established internationals such as Iestyn Harris and Lee Briers, coach Dixon is expected to name a number of locally produced players for the game against England. Tickets for the Gillette Fusion International between England and Wales at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium start from £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. To purchase tickets, please call 0871 226 1313 or visit www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk

Welsh Rugby League coach John Dixon has included seven Celtic Crusaders players in 18-man squad for his first ever match in charge of the national side.
Wales face England in a one-off friendly match at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium on Friday 10th October.
The squad contains a blend of youth and experience as Wales look to build for the future.
There are four possible debutants for Wales, Geraint Davies, Lee Williams, Ben Flower, who play for the Celtic Crusaders, and also Rhys Williams who is on the books with Warrington.
Davies has been in the Crusaders’ first team squad for all three years of their existence and starred in their first ever game. He was in the Welsh training squad last year but failed to gain selection by then coach Martin Hall.
Lee Williams has also been with the Crusaders for three years but has played for their successful Colts side throughout 2008 and was their top try scorer this season.
Flower has been a Welsh success story this year. Formerly with Cardiff Demons academy, the 20-year old is in his first season in professional rugby league. He started 2008 with the Colts side but is now a first team regular.
Probably the most surprising name in the squad is that of 18 year-old Rhys Williams. Williams who hails from Rhyl Coasters in North Wales was the star performer for the Wales under 18s who won the European Under 18 Championships in Prague in September.
There are five Super League players in the Wales side – David Mills for Hull Kingston Rovers, Dave Halley, Craig Kopzack and Matt James from Bradford Bulls and Andy Bracek from Warrington Wolves.
Leigh Centurions’ Ian Watson is Wales’ most experienced player. Making his debut in 1995 in Wales’ 92-4 win over USA in Philadelphia, he will win his 22nd cap on Friday week if selected, just six behind all time Welsh record holder Jim Sullivan.
The squad will go into camp this Sunday and train in Wales until Thursday when they will travel to Yorkshire for the match on Friday.

According to a post on TRL 6000 tickets sold already, well alot of free-bees aswell so I use the term "sold" loosely. I think 8/9k is achievable based on this.

Really, I heard it was only 1,300, 8/9k on a friday night for a televised England B V the worst side Wales have put out in years would be an unbelivable crowd. I think 5k would be a good crowd myself
