Found that on the rlwc forum, since i can't reply on there though I'd post about it here.
Ideas seem a bit far-fetched to me. I can understand the next WC in England with a few games in Wales, Ireland, Scotland or France but taking games to 7 countries would be very, very risky. What kind of crowds would be realistically expected in germany or Spain?

Still though just sounds like shit to me. Even Scotland and Ireland would be major risks, I highly doubt the 2013 WC will games outside of Wales, England and France. As for the part about RL being huge in Texas, news to me.

But then again if the RLIF is going to start to do a concerted push with showing any internationals on European and USA TV and get some exposure out there... But I think its a massive rsik, why go and waste all the good work and money on another far fetched idea... why does RL always try to shoot itself in the foot.

It is still 5 years away, who knows what might happen. Although I doubt RL will grow enough in Spain, Germany, Scotland or Ireland to host a WC game there. Maybe if Barcelona get a club up and running and get a bit of a fan base there might be a possibility of giving them a game but since Spain probably won't be anywhere near the WC I wouldn't advise it. If the RLIF wants to push RL in these areas they can use exhibition games but not WC games, far too big a risk. The last thing we want is another 2000 WC. Games in England, France and Wales would be as far I would like it to go. I would like to see a rlwc held elsewhere from England and Australia but alot needs to take place in between now and then. The USA or Russia would be absolutley great.

If only we could get Papua New Guinea to behave.
Well, my goal is to finish my schooling, get my accounting degree, go into property then make money. Now this seems stupidly pointless I know but eventually I plan on becoming the person to help Rugby League in the USA grow. Just by promoting a few events each year. My idea is a Tri-Series between Jamacia, USA and Argentina as well as a North vs South East Coast Origin and an annual test against Canada (either Thanksgiving or Canada Day). Of course I'll play if need be (unless, hopefully, I have other playing commitments ;D). Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but you know, it's possible.

I'd like the RLIF to direct some funds towards a 25k stadium in PNG, maybe the NRL could do something aswell. Get a decent stadium built there and no reason why they can't get WC games next time the WC is down here. Also would make PNG internationals much more profitable and a more attractive place to tour. Hope your plans come off, maybe Donald Trump will beat you to it though he will be at the WC semi.

Not likely. Who's gonna talk to him about it? Gallop, Love? No hope in hell getting him on side. Perhaps they could get Richard Lewis in there, then we might have a chance. They would have to get Trump right on side. You know, America has the potential to beat the "unbeatable" Kangaroos. The game is what the people have been looking for. Every match there is exciting ball movement bug tackles, the American public love it when the ball is thrown around in NFL, I was watching Ellen deGeneres one time and she kept on showing a clip where the ball was thrown around, guess what it happens in Rugby League everytime and for the US public it was amazing. Just you know, that general stuff. You have to convince him it'll make him money.

Would be absolutley great guns to get a high profile american on our side.

It's too early for Sapin, USA to host the world cup. ATM, there's 4 possible countries.

I have said it before but PNG should focus attention on getting funding for a 25k seat stadium that way they would be able to run profitable internationals. The way I look at it, for Scotland, Ireland and Wales the assesment should be whether Wales V Tonga/PNG/Samoa/NZ would get a bigger crowd in Wales than it would in England. I think it Wales would pass this assesment but maybe not Scotland or Ireland.

Exept for the locals and the policing costs to keep the ramapaging papuans at bay
