first of all the england v australia game in the 4 nations is, possibly, gonna be held at wembley....it will defo if england win the world cup or run australia close in the final..
also it's unlikely that the NZvAUS will be staged down under because all the games are gonna be played in the space of 4 weeks,if NZ v AUS is down under that means they have to get up here and play basically on the back of 3 or 4 days rest....plus it gives them an excuse if they lose against england or france
i've proposed that the opening game of the 4 nations is a double header, NZ v AUS & FRA v ENG @ the stade municiple in toulouse,a very good chance of a 30k+ attendance, which would also represent the largest attended RL game in france ever i think?..would be a great boost for the game..
week 1 - double header @ the stade municiple in toulouse AUSTRALIA v NEW ZEALAND FRANCE v ENGLAND
week 2 ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA @ wembley, london FRANCE v NEW ZEALAND @ Stade de la Méditerranée, Béziers
week 3 ENGLAND v NEW ZEALAND @ the KC , hull FRANCE v AUSTRALIA @ paris....
week 4
final @ CoMs , manchester
hang on is'nt this a challenge cup thread..... ;D

Just saying something about the Tri Nations expansion. I never think the competition should be epxanded beyone 4 teams. I don't see why it is thought that these countries must be involved in the Tri Nations. The Tri Nations shouldn't be a mini world cup or something and doesn't need to inclde every competitiive rugby league team. Other competitions (like regional ones) or tours should be devised. I wouldn't mind if the actual teams in the Tri Nations being changed but not the number of teams. I think having 5 or 6 teams would be too hectic with travel and all that.
Some intresting ideas about games and venues. I like the double header idea a lot. I just hope the games are spread out equally and each country gets a chance at hosting the final over a period of time.

I would definatley have a game at Perpignan though, I don't think it's a good idea to not give the city with the most interest for RL a game. Although there isn;t a massive stadium there but Aime Giral would be big enough for a game against NZ. If England and Australia both make the final why not play it at Wembley again? or Old Trafford? What attendance would England V Australia get if England did go close or win the WC? I see no reason why every England game can't get over 25,000.

have 4 teams instead of 3 serves 2 purposes.
1. it pushes forward the development of the 4th team whether it be france, wales, tonga, samoa, png etc..
2. a 4 team comp with each team playing each other once rather than twice as in the tri nations means the comp would take less time to complete, 4 weeks, where as the tri nations takes 7 weeks.

old trafford is out of the question, united don't like 1 game a season played there let alone 2..
and playing twice at wembley would be overkill, playing the final @ wembley would be abit risky because england might not get there, playing a ENGLAND group game there would be the only option and i reckon it could generate a 70,000plus crowd...even more if we win the world cup..

Oh man, what an experience that was. Challenge Cup... I am sold... I now see what the fuss is about. Amazing. For a minute there I thuough Hull were going to pull of an upset, but no, Sts were too strong in the end. Yeah, so that was an interesting 4 days hey spud. So a run down fo most on the weekends shenanigans. Just to start off, London as good as it is is hideously expensive, particularly when I had just come from a 2 week Holiday where 50 quid was anough for me to live generously! I arrived about 8:30 at the hotel thursday night... spud had been drinking all day already and so when I arrived and my mate Kevin also came it was going to be a long night. After hitting a few pubs and trying to find an ATM, the pubs closed at 11 so we ended up in the hotel looby bar drinkuing till it shut at like 2 am or something doing double vodka shots and drinking San Miguel. The next morning, spud looked a bit less for wear, But a goiod english breakfast cleared that right up. It was then time for the Museum of natural history to be finally seen... pretty cool place, the dinosaur section has to be the most impressive with an impressive moving T-Rex, spud goit an awesome video of it. Then later it was off to the Skolars game, with a couple pubs on the way. Skolars was a great time out, A NL2 game but fantatsic atmosphere, the stand was full and we hot a crowd record of over 1400 for Skolars, the Keighley crows were very jovial indeed with their team winning. I picked up some great suvenirs though, 1. A Liban Espoir Jersey, 2 and 3. The books, Champagne Rugby and Rugby's berlin wall. Two extremely interesting books and worth reading 100%. That evening was also interesting. With plans not to have a "late one" another frined sophie cam out, and with he gentle persuations it ended up another 2-3 am tequila session. But the morning was great nothing was gonna ruin the CC experinec. We decided to head off at 11 am to Wembley and laready then it was packed! We met up with Evo (HKR AWAY DAYS on the forum here) and had a few beers at the Green man hotel... BTH evo got a shoto of your Banner from over my side I'll post it up so you can down load it... I assume you were the Rovers on Tour flag. Challenge Cup! What can I say, its all and more than what people make it out to be. Wembley is a fantastic venue, but I realised something, its exaclty like the olympic stadium, and we Aussies complain about that and yet the Brits love Wembley! Well I am sure you all know what happened so no need to go on about CC game itslef, but it was fantatsic, quite a rousing rendition of God save the queen echoed through the stadium. On the way home it was great to see the London POlice had a great sense of humour, then again the crowds were real good, no fights or anything, but the pubs in London were chokas with RL dfans, so good to see. So yeah, I am still in germany next year, I think a second CC will be done.
