Great news for the guy. Would be a good boost to the german RL team if he could show good form and get a contact with Fax or maybe even be sighted by a SL club and signed with them.
Just a quick question for dan, I was looking at a wikipedia profile for an AMNRL club, axemen i think, and found a player with a german flag beside his name, Jake or Josh Nelkin, you've seen germany play before, have you heard of him. Also found 2 argies in the AMNRL squads aswell.

Yeaj Jimmy has played in the german team and is looking for selection in the Italy game in two weeks time.
The Axeman guy I haven't heard about but he may have pleyd in the years befor I had anything to do with the Germans. I will ask simon and find out. many of those flags just indicate where they are from and not necessarily if they have repped the country. But be interesting to see if he would qualify for German selection... I mean if a few Brit based ex-pats can I don;t see why he can't.

This Just released from Rugby league Deutschland. This is great. It lets every young Deutsch kid playing league know that if they work hard there is a chance they could one day play for a team like FAX .

Rugby League Deutschland have signed a 3 year Kit Deal with leading sports kit manufacturers Kukri. The deal will see Germany receive a certain percentage from sales as well other incentives. The kit will also be available to buy via the Kukri website in around a couple of months. Mike Gamble from Kukri said " We are very glad to work with Rugby League Deutschland and have been impressed with the work they have achieved since 2005. We feel that we can both help each other open new doors to different markets and promote Rugby League Deutschland and Kukri to many more people.". After the deal was announced, President of Rugby League Deutschland, Simon Cooper said " We are very happy that a high profile company like Kukri want to work with us. We aim to make more positive steps with developing Rugby League in Germany in the future. We feel by having Kukri with us then we can become more self reliant and develop the game to a wider audience both in Germany and abroad NEW GERMANY KIT DESIGN FROM KUKRI www.kukrisports.comwww.rugby-league.de

Makes me wish i was german so I could justify wearing one around Rocky lol. Still might buy one, would be a nice bit of merchandise. Can't wait to see this strip up against the Kangaroos live one day, although it will probably be changed by then.

She is a nice kit alright, will they be onsale before the Italy game or the czech game, If so you could get it done.
If I bought a shirt could you possibly get it signed for me? then you could post it to me with those vids you're going to post. If you could I would be greatful. I will cover any postage charges etc.
Sure, I can ask simon maybe to get a few extra shirts with the general kit they get, and I can get him to sign it for me... I will also be In Bad rechenhall for the RLEF XIII vs. Germany game and so can get it signed there as well... plus also at the German SoO match in heidelberg in December. I want to get the czech kit signed as well.

They will be on sale before the czech game, yes? I would really like one of those signed, like you said it would look great hanging on a wall. Could be worth alot in years to come.

I get the impression that unlike some RL organisations RLD is run really well. They have been going a couple of years and already have managed to get a new-look high-quality jumper, get a 6 team domestic comp up and running and perhaps the most amazing of all is they are (or soon will be) selling merchandise. What other international jerseys can you buy online ATM? Australia, NZ, yes France? England? All countries should try and make their jersey available for sale. South Africa would make a fair chunk of their tour of england costs by selling merchandise i dare say, what's to stop them making jerseys and setting up a little stall on the streets of Johanesburg or Cape Town etc. Maybe a RU hired merchant would beat the guy up and steal the merchandise

The guys in charge, Simon, Leo and Uwe have realistic goals, they know they have limited finaces and so do not over stretch themselves. They have made sure they are on good terms with RUD (though they still have interfered a bit in the past) and have got a beer sponsor on board as well. They have managed to make good established links with Halifax RLFC in the UK and also having a "German exiles" team in the UK alows their players in Germany to go over to the UK play in a comp where they could get discovered. They also have good releationships with the Czechs and Serbians and also the RLEF heirachy which means that if they do have any complaints or issues or want to play a game, its easy for them to set it up. The Germany v Czech fixture will be an annual even no matter if they are in a tournie together or not, 1st weekend of Ausgust will alsways be this game, its their little ANZAC test I guess, its a game that people know is happening every year without fail and can plan for it. So remember if ever you are in Europe, the 1st wekend of August is ALWAYS Germany v Czech game! Also second weekend of December is always the German SoO weekend, again its something for people to know and plan for each year. basically they know what they are doing... you know German efficiency and all that

I like that consistency in International games, Germany V Czechs every year, same time. I would love to see alot more relationships like that so teams can alweays rely on a game. I wouldn't put it past germany getting into the next world cup, I don't know what it is, but i am excited about germany's potential. Dan, you live there you can tell me, what sports are popular there besides the round ball? I was talking to a German the other night whilst playing poker online as it happens and he said he wasn't a massive soccer fans, more hockey.
