There is no final in students competition.
I think that on 20th April origin match Belgrade v Serbia (City v Country) is going to be played and then from 26th/27th the championship should start, but some delays and changings are possible.
Update: The Round 6 match of Students RL Championships will be played on Wednesday, 16th April, because of Belgrade Marathon scheduled for Saturday 19th April and huge traffic mess expectec for that day.

Looks great. Is it going to be a regular fixture? I think if they made it a big rivalry, promoting it differently in different areas it could be great.

It is traditional, but we didn't play it in 2004 and 2007. It is just one match, though in 2005, we played it on home and away basis. Previous results: 18-Nov-2002, Pancevo: Serbian Country 36-36 Belgrade - no winner 24-Sep-2003, Belgrade: Belgrade 38-20 Serbian Country - winner: Belgrade 11-May-2005, Belgrade: Belgrade Warriors 40-38 Serbian Barbarians - winners: Belgrade Warriors 20-May-2005, Pancevo: Serbian Barbarians 38-40 Belgrade Warriors - winners: Belgrade Warriors 05-Apr-2006, Novi Sad: Serbian Barbarians 22-22 Belgrade Warriors- no winner So, as you can see, it is always competitive fixture. Here are some pictures from last weekend match (Belgrade in white, Serbia in blue). For your informatin, the gentleman who presented the trophy to Belgrade captain is Mr. Budimir Tomanovic. He is member of RL Club Radnicki Belgrade from 1954-1964, when RL was established in former Yugoslavia before switch to RU. Mr. Tomanovic was one of those who didn't want to play Union and retired afterwards. He also presented the medal to the Man of the Match Nenad Grbic. Students championships is finishing on Wednesday and the National Championships start on Saturday. I will send to Druzik schedule of the competition and I must admit that I expect the most serious championship so far in Serbia. Promotional photo of competing teams is given below with Soni Radovanovic (Dorcol Spiders), Nenad Grbic (Podbara Novi Sad), Goran Milovanovic (Palilulac Hammers Nis), Marko Matejic (Belgrade University XIII) and Ivan Djordjevic (Red Star Belgrade) (for left to right):

Hey can I use some of those photos on the web site.
You know I just love seeing all this stuff come out of Serbia!
Hey just a thought on Mr Tomanovic, you should have one of the awards, like the trophy or the MoM medal be called the Tomanovic Medal or something like that... keep a sense of history in the current competition.
Many of the Australian clubs and the NRL do this. You have the Dally M award for the best player in the NRL every year, the frank Hyde cup played between the Nth Sydney bears and Newtowm the Steve Rodgers Trophy between Cronulla and Manly.
These are like small individual club trophies, but it gives say in a local derby or a particular club rivalry something to really play for and keep a sense of History.
Just a thought.

I want the Jumpers! they are fantastic!
Spider you really do need to have a Serbia Merchandise shop and flog it as much as you can on forums and through other federations, you could make a mint with those kits alone!
I kid you not they are better than some of the NRL kits.
You know its comming to summer in Europe, and many aussies and English probably are looking for exotic places to travel, if they love league something like that photo could be the difference for them to choose say Serbia over Croatia.
Get it out there.

Of course you can use these photos, I hope I'll get some more.
Involvement of Mr. Tomanovic was arranged in the last minute and the medal was already made, but be sure that we have that in mind.
Palilulac Hammers (middle) and the one on the student (second from the right) are donated from England, but Dorcol, Podbara and Red Star have their own kits.
I will personally take care of updating the web-site in next few days, because the new season is starting and we must have fresh news for the public in and out of the country.
