The AMNRL’s championship game will be played at the Fight’s home ground A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken PA. “This will be the first time the Fight have hosted the championship and we are excited to have had the successful bid,” says Philadelphia Fight CEO Ryan McGough. “Other top cities such as New York, Jacksonville and Boston were in the running, but the Fight proposal came out on top.” The game will be webcast ‘live’ on the internet just like all the other Fight matches will be during the 2010 season. “We are working on plans to host an international match as a curtain-raiser to the championship match, along with all types of events to be hosted the week leading up to the big game,” adds McGough. In recent years the AMNRL has successfully moved the Grand Final from city to city. Last year’s event at Manhattan’s Pier 40 in New York City was a well-attended championship game, as was Fort Dix in New Jersey in 2008 and Jacksonville, FL, in 2007.
