Hey guys, This story has come out today about QLD and VIC both trying to host the NRL GF when the current deal with the NSW government ends in 2012. I think its a good thing. Currently the NSW Govt. pays $500000 a year for it, and Anna Bligh (QLD premier) is offering up to six times that amount per year. Im not too sure about Melbourne hosting it though. The venue of the NRL Grand Final should alternate, yearly, between Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra.

Still not 100% sure what I think on this. If the proposed 40,000 stadium for Canberra is built -- in anticipation for the FIFA World Cup bid -- then I'd love to see a final or two played down there. If the FIFA World Cup bid doesn't go to plan -- the ACT Government said it might shun the FIFA World Cup and look at hosting NRL and AFL games instead should the FFA win the bid -- then a Grand Final Qualifier could be played at Canberra Stadium.

I would look to at least 50k would it be an upgrade of Bruce stadium?
