its half time. what a great game so far. the one thing thats become blatantly obvious is that steve ganson is clearly well and truly out of his depth. some of the worst refereeing ive seen in a long long time

20-20, what a game! i thought nz had it in the bag. goes to show how important a goal kikcer with the quality of locke is needed. both aus and nz will go into their matches next week as favourites (expecially nz) so you would think they will meet in the final setting up a blockbuster replay

20-20. what a match! i thought nz had it in the bag. goes to show how important a goalkicker like kevin locke is to a team. both sides will go into their matches next week as favourites (especially nz) so you would have to think they will meet again in the final setting up an absolute blockbuster. crowd was over 12,000, the highest for a rugby league international at the stoop

Some big games again next weekend. Im really interested to see how the Poms step up for the Australia match. Also looking forward to seeing how the French go at home, although they could be without a few more players.
I'm sure the Poms will do better than the 52-4 shallacking they took last year.

Yeah ive been wondering why Locke hasnt been in the team aswell. From the first time I saw him play for the warriors you could tell he is something special.
Yeah the Aus V NZ game was a lot faster than the Poms V France, but I think the poms will improve a lot on that game. Theyre a very young, inexperienced team and I think theyll get better with every match they play together.

Well, where to start? Firstly, great game, very fast and physical. It was, however, littered with errors and penalties, particularly against Australia in the first 10 minutes and for a large spell against New Zealand midway through the first half.
I thought Gallon was class, as was Adam Blair. That NZ 17, Hargreaves, was unbelieveable, he hit everyting. FUI FUI did well and broke a few tackles and despite a poor carry for Thurston's t-r-y, Lance H was very good too.
There was obviously some Aussie rustiness there. Some of the plays were off at times but both of them teams would have strolled past England playing like that.
We have it all to do next week. That Tim Sheens doesn't like us English though, does he? Miserable git.

i think ivan cleary is a good coach for the warriors. top 7 in the NRL maybe , but has anyone realised that there is an absolutely perfect match for the club in Stephen Kearny? the tele described him this week as "perhaps the most overqualified assistant coach ever seen". would give the warriors a truly local feel and work even closer with the NZRL to help them implement their desired structures.

I'm hoping the lads fire up against the French... don't let up and cont the good work from last week...
Esp in the forwards... dominate the ruck, and get the backs some nice go-forward ball...
