I'm surprised this hasn't got a mention here. Apparently England Rugby Union is also getting looked at as well.

Mainly because its been done to death on other Forums that most of us sit on and so I never saw a need to drag it up... We are not into Union bashing here so much... I'd prefer to talk IRL than any rubbish union does... we all know they lie and are corrupt...
But if you want to discuss it then go ahead... It does not surprise me that this has gone on.... so much for unions "un-tainted immage". Wiggy must be churning up inside.

Brian's Lowe's savage antics during his playing days for the All-Blacks disgraced rugby union. The fact he was allowed to keep on playing says everything we need to know about the IRB's integrity.

Any sort of attention is better than no attention at all. The high amount of focus on the NRL's off-field drams have actually helped the code this year.
Half the reason behind rugby union's poor state in Australia is derived from the media's small focus on it. Let's hope our officials keep it that way by not assigning any attention to rugby union. ;D

Any sort of attention is better than no attention at all. The high amount of focus on the NRL's off-field drams have actually helped the code this year. Yes but its a fine line to tread. One reason it was good this year is that people saw that The NRL was transparent and open, despite the dramas, everyone knew what and who was going on and saw that it was just a few bad apples and not the whole bunch... so they let the product do the talking... and it did this year, oh it did on the other hand Union and AFL, are very closed up and dont wnat scandal to hit and spoit their "wholesome" immage despite everyone knowing that it isn't (well all the sheep probably do beleive it is) but people view it on suspiscion that there is a coverup, well there si, when ever something goes bad. The blazer brigade is more interested in their image than the better of the sport.
