Its at stade de la Méditerranée in Beziers.
Normally they get about 10,000 to the final, but not sure how big the stadium is in Beziers.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! What a weekend. Well for the record, Lezignan beat pia 26-16 (Details here). As in all great RL weekends there was much celebration and drinkng to be had. Beziers is a beautiful OLD town, dating back to the roman empire, many bridges and amphitheatres still exists dating back to those times! I arrived on Friday afternoon after a turbulent flight, it was raining doen that part which was a bummer and so didn;t get out to the coast as planned. So Friday was spent scouting out some pubs etc... for saturday. I found what can opnly be described as the dodgiest Irish pub I have ever seen. It was walled up and you need to to buz yourself to get in and only after a bounce slid back a window to see who it is... something out of a Mafia film... so kept away from there. Fortunately I found a much nicer place on the main drag that carried Canat sat and canak + and were showing RL. So Beziers is basically a rugby town... both codes, but RU slightly more popular from what I can tell. Apparently for the centenary test it was packed for people to watch the game. Saturday I did some sight seeing, there is a great old castle there and you go upto the hill and get an awesome view of the plains heading down to Narbonne and Carcassone. I then caught up with one of the guys on the TRL forum, Wasteline Expansionist, he works in th France and travels south regularly to see games. So basically we had a feed a few beers and then headed out to the stadium. So the game time. The stadium is a odd looking thing with concrete stands that look like they were sea shells... I guess keeping with the whole Mediteranean theme. We Saw the junior match (Lezignan vs. UTC) before that main one... and I have to say I saw one of the most shocking things in my life... well there were a few shoking things like a green guy in a nappy running around the stadium - but that is a memory I want to suppress... So we all like a bit of biff in RL, and certainly on full time there was a little bit of push and shove from the players, we all enjoyed that... BUT after the presentations were done, and UTC were doing a lap around the stadium they got attacked by the Lezignan boys and a 3 and a half minute slug fest ensued where no one was safe, photographers were atcked and a Match Steward was stretchered off the field (and assume hospital) after being KO'd trying to stop a fight. This was grand boxing at it most spectacular and brought back memories of the footage I have seen of Newtown v Manly in the 1980 semi final. The main event was fortunately much more prefessional, both teams fought hard and it was a close contest. Chris "beetroot" Beatie was a standout, because even with the pink Lezignan shirts hid red noggin stood out! ;D It was amazing ssing about 6 ex-sharkies running around on the field for both teams, the notables being beatie, Franze, Bosnich and Mullane. After the game I managed to meet the teams at the VIP lounge, Beetroot was tops, as soon as he saw the sharks jersey and heard the accent he wanted to chat all things oz. One of the other noys got a VIP ticket for me so I ended up in the VIP lounge with both teams chatting, my white Lezignan Tshirt aint white anymore as front and back has all teams signatures. My sharks jersey and hat has all the ex-sharks signatures... I have no Idea how it happened but I ended up on the lezignan team bus and Mullane was shoving some gawd aweful french anissed crap into me... I guess he didn't want it, Beetroot was trying to convince me to ditch my stuff and come to Lezignan on the bus with em... I am thinking I should have now... and someone gave me the wort beer I have ever had.... no wonder I felt like comlete shite the next morning! Sunday was what I am calling it TT - "Torture in Toulouse" - I fellllt so crap, my head was thumping and felt like it still had the french band in it from the day before... the hangover didn;t break untill I got to Hamburg at about 6 pm and managed to get some panadol into me... but the adventure did not stop there. Some person decided to do a jumper infront of a train and so I got delayed 3 hours and so rather than being home at 11:30 pm it was closer to 2:30 am this morning... but I didi get a free cab ride of about 40 km from Stralsun to my appartment... so thanks Detsches Bahn. Soooo ya... awesome weekend.

sounds like a good weekend to me. what was the crowd like at the final? Official 8233 but it looked bigger than that I would have put it at over 10k... considering the lack of advertising that the FFR did its a damn good turn out... predominantly Lezignan supporters.
