Shut up Jim!  Mate I am a mad sharks fan and will vehemently defend them to the death... actually I am against getting rid of any teams in Sydney, AFAIC Sydney can sustain them no problems, the clubs just need to get off their fat arses and do some half decent advertising an recruiting... I mean the UK clubs can turn profits without leagues clubs and the sport in theory is smaller than what we have and their expenses are more than ours. Persoanally I think we can easily go to 18 maybe even 20 teams in 2012 - 2014, we might have to set up conferencing style games but thats OK, For me the main target areas are the Central coast, Perth and another qld team, probably in the sunshine coast... the 4th doesnt phase me too much as long as its not one of the daft ideas of bringing in PNG or Fiji... it sounds anti expansion, but it isnt, its saving alot of money, trouble, Police work for the NRL... plus it wont kill off the SP cup or Vodafone Championships! There is general NRL board. If you go into the domestic comp section below this international one, you will see two boards decicated to NRL and ESL and then threads to all other domestic comps around the world. This forums, as well as discussion on expansion in say the NRL and ESL, is very pro internationalist with myslef and a few others doing lots to promote and get the sport going in various countries, so if you want to see it spread then this I think is one of the best forums for talking about it. |
