Woohoo... it has finally arrived. The IHOTWC. Just had a quicj flick through over the lunch break. Initial reactions:
Surprises
* ITS SMALL! A5 size pages I think... I was expecting like this big book and stuff... but I like it, its a good size to chuck in the back pack for my numerous trips to be able to pull it in and out on the train plane or automobile to have a read.
* Thick... which means there must be lots of info or lots of pictures... or both I hope.
Good Things
* The centerfold photos... absoutely beautiful. My favouites being cayless kissing the cup, Benjis Haka shot draw some horns on that kid...fek he looks mean... Sam Moas push of Wilkes and semisi Toras superman impersonation.
* Good no mention in the opening pages of the 2000 WC losses.
* Lots of mention about Beriere and his legacy to the tournament and Rugby league... I still think something needs to me done in the WC to honour him, like the MoT award named after him, or the Cup renames or something.
* The 2008 section looks pretty comprehensive, nice to see.
Bad Things
* Page 92 is all smudged, still legible but still not a good look, not sure if this is just my copy or on all of them
