France A have completed a double against a BARLA team at Wakefields Belle Vue last night winning 22-16 They surged into an early lead inspired by former HKR and Leigh forward Seb Martins voted MOM. Martins like ASC's Teddy Saddaoui are I believe looking to fresh challenges come seasons end here. It would be good for them if they can move up a level. The French lost their way a bit after the break when scrum half Mikael Murcia was injured but had enough left to get the win. If one thing has changed in the past decade it is that matches like this go the way of the Tricolores more often than not. Back in 2000 France with all the best players available struggled against the best GB Amateurs. This is a bit of a sea change. The one thing I would like to see though is French Juniors U18 going up against the Academy SL clubs more often. That's the level they need to work at.
