Rugby League in Cornwall

Good evening to all the users of the message board. I would like to make you aware of what I along with some investors and other parties are looking to bring to Cornwall.

Rugby League is played as a summer sport and over the past 18 months we have been developing a business plan and putting together all the required information we require to form a professional sporting team and launching the team in "championship 1" the third tier of rugby league in England.

We are now carrying out research into the location of our team as we are going to be based in the South West and our options being Bristol, Cornwall and Exeter.

I would appreciate some feedback from the forum on how you would feel about a rugby league side coming to your region and would you support it?

We are looking for good opinions as we really want the community to not only support the team but to be part of the operation and the decisions that are made. Part of the proposal is we will have 1000 non-executive share holders who will be involved in all decisions not involving the squad. This will include naming the side, kit choice, badge choice and many other decisions usually made by a small board of directors. This really will be a community team.
