NRL 2009 DrawMay 9 - Australia V New Zealand - Suncorp Stadium Why can't the SL do that with the mid-year test. I can now plan ASAP to get down in May for the test, English fanms were told a couple months prior that a game was being held in France. I would like to see it become a three test mid-year series involving NZ, Australia and the winner of a Pacific comp. Same with England, France and the winner of a euro comp.

also interesting
The test match and City/Country origin are on the same day/weekend.
Hopefully England will schedule their test weekend to this same one as Aus and make all their Kiwis available.

city/country final nail in coffin IMO it rates terribly when shown love..it will bomb out at 9.30pm I disagree, it important to allow the country areas to get some top line matches... yes its problem in the past has been it needed to compete with Stooper 14 matches. Having it piggy back with a test may be just the ticket it needs. Last years game was an absolute cracker... I loved it, thank gawd that dad taped it and sent it over to me... I love watching it, the field goal attempt at the end was friggin amazing, 60 m kick and missed by a chest hair and landed 10 rows back! It also gives fringe rep players that bit of rep type experience.

Looks like teams are abandoning ANZ for their traditional grounds as fans have wanted. First Wests have left to play out of SFS (OK not traditional bur better than ANZ) Bulldogs are looking at Belmore if they can get monet to re-do it. Now St's will be back at Kograh Oval.
