The Warriors need to start well to win the competition. I'm predicting a close season this year but i have gone for manly to come out on top.

You did Kiwis, guys, I'm taking nothing away from what the kiwis acceived in that 80 mins, but at one point you guys looked on your way out, both games against ourselves were close and tight, and it could have gone either way. For what its worth you deserved to beat us on both occasions, but look back over the results in the last two years we have played you 5 times and all but one game was close, we have both played Australia a few times in the last few years and come off well and truly 2nd best the vast majority of the time. You guys are more than welcome to your opinion, but I am stating facts, look over the results, they show you are World champions, but the results also show the World Cup Final result was against the grain, just as in 2005. Nothing* would make me happier than to see NZ take the 4 nations in November, but they failed to capitalise in the 2006 tri nations, and not too many would bet against Australia winning this years comp. * Nothing exept England or France winning yea marv the kiwis need to push on and try and be the force on the field that the roos ave been for many years 1 flash in the pan victory doesnt cut it we must keep winning or we will tarnish the world cup victory and it will be all for nothing.

Thats it Kiwis its that reliability and consistency that has kept the roos at the top of the sport for 30 years

Not only that marv...they've always had shitloads more talent to choose from also...The player numbers for other countries are increasing and especially among the kiwis ranks..soon enough there will be a more top players to choose from for more of the other nations.Ozy are just starting to realise this..Look at how brown the NRL is now mate...That's only going to increase over the next few years...in saying that it gives me hope that over the next 4 or 5 years the teams will get better and eventually close the gap on the ozys...We've lived in the shadow of the ozys for too long now....it's time for league to expand outside of the NRL and OZy.... ;DGo the kiwis....show them what your made of.

I just heard Greg bird is going to try and play for Newtown next year! yeah am in two minds about this... I love Newtown with a passion and he would be a great signing for them... but am not sure with everything going on with Bird its a good image for them... then again they are the club that has given heaps of players a second chance... will have to wait and see I suppose.

... and ... more info, why, how where. I dont mind the storm, they have done the RL a good service in melbourne, they only now have to start bringing in victorian Juniors into the system and that should help the sport along there even more.

i said warriors because im still hopeful for them. who knows what theyre up to with their halves these days. michael witts gone (great goal kicker) and now fien has been told to look elsewhere and dropped. what happends when stacey really retires?
i guess the bulldogs or st george look good. too early to tell (dont mean to be a fence sitter) theres always brissy aswell.

nah not a kiwi, my partner is though. i do however realy like the warriors club. the community work they do , the role model players, the promotional work etc. great crowds this year. theres an article in teh telegraph about 2009 nine crowds this morning: www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/sport/nrl/story/0,26799,25503470-5006066,00.html have to agree with you that st george illawarra always choke but also need to weigh in the waybe bennett factor.... im really impressed with the bulldogs turn around. honostly didnt see it coming, not just on the field either. to bring the conversation from the other thread over to here druzik i have to disagree with you about the sharks. i still think they can be sacrafised. however the central coast have made it clear they dont want them.

No one in these potential areas want reloacted, bankrupt clubs from Sydney. If they die they die, that's the end, fuck saving them, there's a club right next door ready to take over. Only clubs you definitely want to keep are Manly, Penrith and St.George-Illawarra. Everywhere else is pretty much covered. Fuck it, they're going under okay, Sharks are dead, they've never been successful anyway.

hahaha thats a very strong view. i think west tigers need to continue to cover the south west area though. the population growth is too important and they love their league out there. im expecting a huge crowd on friday night for the broncos game

If not, as long as its under their own guise... but remember that its not all about money... its what the clubs cover in terms of other sports and cimmunity stuff. The sharks are very active in the community as well.
