Queensland Rugby League junior format16 Dec 08 @ 07:57am by Ian Gault Source: South-east AdvertiserTHE Queensland Rugby League has announced the format for its new Statewide under-16 and 18 development competitions. The elite competitions will run over an eight-week period and will be divided into two conferences - southern and northern - beginning on February 21-22. The southern teams are Easts Tigers, Wynnum Manly Seagulls, Norths Devils, Souths Logan Magpies, Redcliffe Dolphins, Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles, Toowoomba, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. The Queensland winners will play the winners of the NSWRL Harold Matthews (16s) and SG Ball (18) competitions.

Ooooh that sounds juicy. Two points.
1. Its noice to finally see that there is a unifies structure in the states to gauge themselves now.... and professional. Harols Matthews (U16) is a pro comp I think.
2. Sunshine coast Eagles hey... could this be the precursor to a NRL team in the future?

The Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles are affiliated with the Manly Sea Eagles RFL club.
