Looks like in the wake of Irelands and scotland good performances next years 4N will have qualification between France, Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

But Nigel Wood, the Rugby Football League's chief executive, says that whatever the result, plans are already in place to build on the success of Ireland and Scotland in the World Cup, with both set to join Wales and France in a qualifying tournament to play England, Australia and New Zealand in a Four-Nations competition in Europe next autumn.

This is a great move, it will capitalise on these countries performances. Hopefully it will get fans out and good television coverage.

why couldnt PNG be in that comp ? there as good as all them sides

i think you may find that in 2010 when it come to australia that they will have a PNG, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa comp. Remember there is a Pacific 6N next year already planned so its not like thwy will miss out on matches anyway.

october next year tonga samoa png fiji cook islands and usa are playing a tourney in Hawaii.
