The answer on the first question is "no" and the second... they probably have some Portuguese origin players, but I don't know if there is that much as you asked.

So at the moment its portugese origin players from Aus and England.
But they want to go and start doing development next year in Portugal as the itinereary suggests. I am assuming this will mean a couple of games to showcase League etc... If I am still around then I may even do a trip out to there and have a look.
Lebanon basically started this way and Itlay, Malta and Greece are also attempting this path... Its probably not a bad way to go. In Aus games between the Greece and Malta development teams attract upto 5-6000 people.
POrtugals game with Japan this year was a bit of a fizzer with their frits ground washed out due to torrential downpour and the second ground barely upto scratch and basically it kept people away.

What the hell happened to Portugal. Malcolm Speers did so well to try and organise a rag tag bunch together from 2005 to 2009 with alot of struggle. Now he's like disappear from the face of the world. The team has not been heard of since the Aus Med cup in 2009. Bring back Portugal. Any news from this camp?
