No actually dan I noticed Ryan tipped PNG so he doesnt get any point for correct tip. Just to clarify I was awarding 1pt for correct tip and two for the outright winner, same as last time. so correct tip and tie break are the only questions that matter, the rest are just for fun, I didnt want to over complicate things you are tied with beez because you both predicted England and both said 50 points would be scored between the teams, unless I have missed something glaringly obvious

Dunno Marv... I think we should award points for each category becasue those will also act to separate people... I can keep tabs on it if need be.

Haven't been on over the weekend, topo busy watching games.
Anyway, this was the best game I have ever watched and there was no better moment than the gang tackle by PNG at the start. I think that will be the highlight of the cup. Anyway, I think PNG deserved this win and if that try ruled forward was awarded it would be a different game. Anyway, I think next week they will thrash NZ and England will challenge Australia bloody hard, maybe come away with it but I can see Inglis and Folau being the difference.
PNG, bloody good players there, I reckon they could match Australia in the backs just silly mistakes and consistency will be the difference.
Mainly I think Adrian Lam has inspired this performance. Did a bit of a Wests Fibros v Silvertails sort of thing. Also I think there's a lot more passion for their country in the PNG team, the big difference.
Man, I love PNG. ;D

YESSSS... some people beleving in PNG ;D thats what i like to see lol... carnt wait till the NZ game... i hope they can do them... im watching the Tonga game atm n it shows me how far PNG has come... tonga have absolutley no discipline whatsoever... PNG used to be like this n have now moulded into a professional looking side... i think its time PNG start to be included with tri nations and comps as such... they are ready... maybe for a few years they will be the team that each country looks forward to playing but after 2-3 years they will better from the experience and become as good as the top 3... i just hope the RLIF or ARL or whoever is in charge can start opening there eyes to other nations... n what bigger eye opener could you have than the game on saturday... the kumuls did every Papua New Guinean proud!

I think its taken someoen like Lam to come in and just get them together. I truly believe the best thing that PNG have done in the last year is their tour of Europe last year. They manages to get 5 games where they could try and build combinations and partenerships and see where they need to be. The saw that with france they were not that far off and if they had a full strength team would have won the second test against them. Wales was a game to get the cobwebs out, they played with hert but you could see that a 3 day jet lag still had them. and the pmXIII games also serve their great purpose and also the SoO games... this is what I love.... I hope they get more games. If they do they will be a force to be rekoned with.

It just goes to show what PNG could do with a structured IRL schedule in place, they went great and yeah England were rusty and in some places they were lucky, but I am looking forward very much to PNG V NZ over the weekend, I think its safe to say there will be a few tips for PNG in the tipping comp next week.

PNG were fantastic, and will only get better IMO, a real chance of beating the kiwis especially since Matai is out and if they leave Luke out again they deserve to get beaten.
Also alot of their players are young and playing in TC, David Moore was brilliant and looked an NRL player for sure. I think they also took a step closer to an NRL team with that, they showed with a bit of good prep their locals are up to standard and since they already have backers for a new stadium if it goes ahead I can't see many problems left to deny them.
Screw samoa and Tonga for the 4N i say and give PNG a go, atleast they could host profitable games if they get a decent stadium. Well hopefully PNG will win the pacific cup next year anyway, 5 nations in 2010?
