This is all I could find so far on any Aus website. And does any one see what is wrong with the article. hint: Typical Australian attitude.

There's an article up on Fox sports interactive with a bit of info. nothing on the actual channel.
I suspect NRL on fox might bring it up tomorow and probably the footy show.

Salford, no suprise there. The RFL wanted a Manchester team. Alot is now up to Salford to spread the game into Manchester.
Celtic are unsuprsing also. Personally I would have prefered Toulouse but I guess I can live with these guys. Celtic too must spread the game they better not sit on their arses. I honestly don't think Celtic have thew infrastructure but I'll be proved right or wrong.
I'm not happy about all Super league teams being allowed back in. I agree with some of what Allan Rowley said. I believe that the Super league does need its expansion teams and we've been given them. I don't think that Castleford is better, however, then Widnes or Liegh. It's sad what went on at Widnes (last year was it?) may have cost them a franchise. Those 8,000 fans will be biterly dissapointed. You can buy Victory, you can buy stadiums but you can't buy true and loyal fans, IMO.

I'm glad Celtic got in because TBH I would have feared for their future if they didn't. Toulouse now have 3 years to improve Stadia, staff etc and the RFL will be unable to deny them. They m,entioned in their statement that they were dissapointed but are still working towards improving their bid for next time. Widnes need not dispair, what they need to do simply is dominate NL1 for 3 years and come back bigger and better next time. Personally I think after the statement Leigh released last night that they will be lucky to even be considered next time, the statement said they were disgusted about Celtic's selection and made a really bitter statement. What a stupid thing to do, I could sort of comprehend that coming from a club that was considered a shoe-in but in reality if either Salford or Celtic didn't get in Widnes would, if not Widnes Toulouse. Celtic have got a license now and they need to make a go of it. Have welsh juniors coming through the system by get an academy squad started up. TBH I would rather see them stick with a fair few Welsh Internations and finish near the bottom then have them sign a sh*t load of NRL and English players and do OK. Development is the key for the future, Catalans have done this well with about half their team now being french.

Yeah leighs statement was a bit of a surprise... and a dumb one at that... but then again you need to sift through a few of the comments from Leigh fans on the other forums to see that 1. they are militant as all hell 2. There is no other world outside of leigh and the M62 3. Leigh has a gistory of pissing off the wrong people at the wrong times.
Toulouse will not go away they have Elite 1 and really looking at their results in the last few years need to make sure they win elite in the next 3 years to get consideration. I am not sure I would like to see them in NL1 as many NL clubs probably cannot afford to travel... then again some can.
I think the thing with the current SL teams was the fact that they all have been doing well in growing the sport, SL has got bigger with them in there and the RFL want to try and maintain that momentum for as long as possible, come round in 3 years if there are clubs falling behind... they will be dropped. Plus the local Derby's are just worth too much at the momnet, they provide good crowds and good TV viewers and money. Look at the Humberside derby on the weekend, 21,000+.

I'm very happy to get a franchise and as expected, we got a Grade C. In 3 years, we will be grade 2. The stadium developments are to be advance soon, I feel our youth development is improving, albeit only in the very early stages and our attendances are improving year on year.
Should we not be looking to further strengthen the French League instead of bringing them over here? Toulouse should not be allowed in NL, let alone SL IMO. 1 foreign club is enough. What next, Lokamotiv Moscow?
