I always thought Sutton was an Australian Aboriginal? He was named in the Fiji Bati squad for last years WC... did not play though...
Dayum, imagine if he and Hayne were play making together...
Oh well...

This weeks Big League has an article about Feleti Mateo in which he says he wants to eventually play Origin. Why is it that we seem to take 1 step forward and 3 steps back in regards to internationals.

Said it before and will say it again, the present format of origin is a scurge on the International game.

I said something like this on rleague grandstand a few month's ago
The solution to this is to allow players who qualify for Australia and another nation, to play SOO. So he could play for Tonga and play SOO. It's silly that they have to give up playing for Island nations just to have a chance at SOO.
And that was from someone I've never chatted to before

I dont see the ARL changing the eligibility rules to help anyone out in the near future. every Aussie wants to play origin, the origin carrot means that those players will have to put their hands up for the green and gold too.

so sam burgess to play origin in a couple of years? or benji marshall.... Benji actually could have been eligible for Origin for Qld. Next time they show his junior team it'll show a school on the Gold Coast. And they have no problems selecting the islanders for the underage teams i.e SBW, the Cayless brothers (I realise that they are from Sydney but meh). So that argument really is null and void
