HEY! I am just 2.5 hours away from you, we need to catch up and do a beer session. OK so you have three games coming up in Germany 5th July is the Grand Final of the German Domestic season in Heidelberg, you will have heaps of Direct trains to there from Hamburg. Just go to www.bahn.de you can find the train there. Just let me know if you want to go and I can sort out accomodation. Next international is 2nd August in Karlsruhe same train line as heidelberg so easy to get to. Its the Germany v Czech Rep game in the Euro Shield 2008. There is also a Karlsruhe vs. Czech development side as a warm up game to the main event. I wont be there for that one as am flying to Riga to cover the last Euro bowl matches Then the week after is Germany vs RLEF XIII at Bad Rechenhal near the Austrial border about 40 mins from Salzberg. This is Leo Burngruber's testimonial, I WILL be there for that. Another one you may be interested in is the Italy vs. Czech game in Prague, I am pretty sure there would be a direct train from Hamburg to Prague. This is on 12 July I think.

5th July is the Grand Final of the German Domestic season in Heidelberg,... Druzik, you wrote this about two weeks ago. How will the teams qualify for this match or they'll just delay this for later?

Yes well, its been hard getting info out of Uwe for this, but basically the teams involved play each other over a 4 week period using meritt league scoring system. This means that you get points for not only winning but also how many home and away matches and how far you traveled to get there etc... then its averagd over how many matches have been played. The top two go through to the final.
Like I said I have been trying to contact Uwe as he is running this but no answer yet.
Unfortunately I am not going, I have torn my hamstring at training last week and need to rest it up... the trip to Tallinnn as much fun as it was, also put a lot of strain on the ninjury.

Sadly the games on the 5th of July were cancelled earlier in the week due to heavy thunderstorms bringing much rain. The pitch is owned by the town and they feared that if we played on it with the heavy rain it would damage it for the Union team that play there each week from mid August to end of May. We tried getting another pitch but would of cost us over 300€. Sadly this event is unlikely to be replayed this year due to a few people now being on Holiday as the schools are off until end of August and a couple of players are also playing in the UK for the German Exiles etc as well as 2 Internationals on Aug 2 and 9.
