OK, so I see NT as an area that would not take much to turn RL mad. ATM i believe AFL and RL have strong presences but I'm not sure which is more popular. Since NT has slim to no hope of ever getting an NRL or AFL team would it be a good idea to give them a team in the 2nd best RL comp in australia, the QLD cup?
I think it would be a good idea, The Population of Darwin is around 115k, that is more than enough to host a QLD team IMO. Also It will give RL a big leg up over AFL in NT.
So what do people think?
I think yes, as soon as possible.

I think you will find that there already is one mate. They play in the ARL's affiliated states competition (a mini SoO i guess) and have won it in 2004. www.australianrugbyleague.com.au/ntrl.leaguenet.com.au/Weather they could be good enough for QLD cup, maybe, i´f WA can do it then why not NT I guess. |

wow you stired up a real bees nest with the NT post on TRL jim. yeh i've got a fair few replies, doesn't sound like it's too far from reality from yakstorm said. Apparently NT have put a bid in for JBC honours in 2010. If it's true that good news for them. Don't too often use TRL, mainly just an observer. |

resist getting sucked in to the many personal battles on there... one certainly ends up being thick skinned after a tangle with the TRL forum.

Although I do post a fair bit on Sportal Forums and there are a sh*t load of idiots on there. I have built up a bit of an amune system after good old dogged and the idiots on sportal. Although i did end up getting into a good old fashioned Union V League debate the other day, don't know how it started actually, didn't get too heated and the 2 union fans that were arguing only seemed to argue with the other 2 league fans on there, maybe i was making too much sense for them and not falling into their "international" crap. ;D lol |
