OK so the AMNRL starts up again on may 31st. Just though I'd start this thread up again. My Tips is Jacksonville Axemen to beat the Wildcats in the final. BTW does anyone know what kind of crowds this tournament got last year. Hopefully the crowds can go up with the exposure from the Aussy Day Challenge. I say the day an AMNRL club can get 10,000 to games is the day we give them a WC. I've got this on RLWC too but imagine the WC final played in this stadium packed full... I would be there in a flash.

The Axemen are doing great things down there but they are yet to perform on the field. The Bulls will be there as always, they may have stumbled a bit last year but expect a dominant performance this year. Also watch out for New Haven, they have a good chance too.

True yes, but I think they can step up this year and go close. Hopefully the Australia day challenge gave the game good exposure and we see improved crowds this year.

OMG a RL federation that actually is organised and has announced the GF ahead of time. FFR XIII could learn a think or two.

Yeh it is a good move, i would say alot of soldiers and military workers on site will be there so that will be a big boost to the crowds. The only thing I'm suss about is spectator viewing, have they got a stadium within fort dix or will they just set up temporary seating?

A new Rugby league team set up in the Florida region... if they make into the AMNRL one day then Jacksonville have a local Derby... that would be huge. Go the Bradenton Bulldogs! Read the article here.

great story that. They were playing rugby league weren't they? i didn't hear the words league or union, a bit of clarity would have been nice since many americans don't know the difference.
The AMNRL is coming along well IMO, most teams are semi pro, fairfax eagles are ametuer and a few others i think. Also there is talk of expansion to the west coast. Three areas I think they should look at expanding to are Chicago, LA and Detroit. I know they are talking about chicago as a target and LA have no NFL team. There are so many possible areas to expand to in america, boston, san diego, san antonia, miami, dallas, kansas, the list could go on and on.

excelent work. Maybe the jaksaxe will come good this year and we shall have a new champion. Well I tipped them, be interesting to see how they go against stringer teams like Wildcats, Bulls, warriors or sharks. Still though looks like it might be a pretty close comp this year, except maybe fairfax. Be Interesting to see what crowds they get this year.
