Yeh I don't mind that idea, the problem i see is the effects it had in year 1 may be lost by the next time it comes around. Maybe even have 2 a year? maybe... not sure. I would love to see the NRL do something like MM but where, NZ i suppose would be the best bet, PNG are no chance, I would love for them to take games to USA but it isn't really logical, I mean the MM is logical because it isn't far to travel for pommies. Nah, too many teams in Oz, particularly if the next expansion goes to 18 teams! 14 in ESL will be tops for MM, if they go to 16 it will be a tough to do. Also in Oz like you say, * OK NZ is a possibility but what Can MM do what a good international series and the Warriors or Future orcas can't do? * PNG are already sold on RL just need to get more interaction between their national team and ours and others nations. *USA or HK etc the distances and logistics involved are just too great. Many teams would not afford it. I think the Aus day challenge and WCC are where it needs to be targeted at. Yeh with australia it's hard to do because there's not much near by. NZ are already given alot more than wales with an NRL team and tests every year, another team in wellington will boost popularity even more. PNG, well no doubt you would get 80,000 probably but I doubt they have a stadium that hold 20,000 let alone 70,000+. USA is too far away yeh. I am a big fan of the WCC moving to USA, still would rather my 3 team WCC idea but a neutral WCC would be great. Alos the Australia DAy challenge to continue, I heard the Jacksonville Axemen owner was looking for other clubs next year, still i would like soiuth sydney to stay simply because of the promotion Russell Crowe can do. Maybe you could even have 2 games or something, chuck an AMNRL trial game on before or something, make it a real big day out. Just on USA, It will be interesting to hear what kind of crowds they get this year, the season kicks off on May 31st I believe. I would love to see a crowd of 2 or 3 thousand get out to the opening game, which is a jacksonville axemen home game.

USA do heaps of promoting. They have their own MM, its called War on the Shores and all teams play in the one spot for that weekend.
However WCC gets done is at the least worry... lets use that as a marketing tool of the best of the best.

If anything I would use you 3 team idea as the winners of the NRL and ESL, and the third team come from a play off of Elite, Russia, Serbia, PNG, NZ and USA.

Yeh well maybe it would only be those to start off with. Maybe a team from Ireland and Wales and there's 8 and 3 rounds of knockout RL. I would like to see it open to anyone who wants a crack at it, some teams would have to save money, I don't see why a team from say jamaica can't come every 3 years to cut expenses etc. Would be great to be a part of. To start though it would be limited and ofcourse it is suspect to change, maybe the Russian league or AMNRL will go pro down the line and may be able to get auto entry like NRL and ESL winners, we are a while off that though.

Why would Scottish rugby Union want it? Or is that just some mistake.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
10 million into the local economy over 10 days is nuffin to be sniffed at.
Why not, maybe scotland RU are seeing that RL and RU can co-exists, its not like RL will overtake RU any time soon up there anyway, plus when the CC finals were held in Murrayfield they were a resounding success!

Yep. I just thought it was IRB policy to try and kill Rugby League. Why not have Millenium Magic, Murrayfield Magic and some Irish stadium don't know any off the top of my head Magic. Could only be good for the game.

Just change the name to something starting with M and It's a sure thing. You can't have Millennium and Murrayfield Magic then Croke Magic. lol. Maybe it would be an idea to hold 3 a year each 1 in a UK nation (not england). Just on Belfast, "bid for it" well I'd say If the event continues to be a sucess very soon we could have sourounding nations like France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Russia, Italy etc. bidding aswell. What to do when that happens?

Why don't they try using a SL semi final or something, just as a one-off in Scotland, Ireland, Wales or another euro country. Semi finals are neutral over there aren't they?

Hmmm never though of that, maybe you could split a round in between 2 countries? i would do it when ESL get 16 clubs so each country can have 4 games. You sound confident Germany would bid for it ahead of Italy and Russia.

Germany in Munich may take it, there is a decent RU presence around there and its quite easy for any Czechs and Austrians to get there and there are heaps of cheap flights from all overthe UK that go to Munich, so it would be much easier for UK fans to get to. But I think for noe it should be withing the confines of the home nations. Lets see if the product can really sell locally before going global... remember small steps.

Yeh i am getting ahead of myself i suppose. I do hope next year or in years to come they have 3 a year, 1 ireland, 1 scotland, 1 wales. Just as you say focus on the home nations first. 3 out of 28 or so weekends isn't too mcuh.
