It would be great. I'll ask him if he would do that if he has time and want to do that. He is more talker on the pitch, although he is active on facebook.

How hard is it for Serbians to get a gren card? I'm sure a few of them could go well over in the NRLUS, as with other developing European nations, and even some of the French guys.

I don't really know. I was in US on business trip and granted easily three years valid multi entrance visa. It is now regular to get it, probably because Americans want to show themselves as hospital and polite after everything they caused over here and all over the world. I know that the guys from Serbia go to USA to be lifeguards at the swimming pools and I suggested to one of our boys who plays RL and go there to be the lifeguard (it's about three months job) to contact some of the clubs.
I think that if some club show interest and invite the player officially that the player wouldn't have any problems now to get work permit/green card for USA.

Pupils from few Belgrade schools will play RL Touch tournament at UEFA-installed mini pitch in my former primary school's yard. We'll try to keep as many children as we can, and also to try to make interest for the game amongst the other kids, friends of players and possible spectators.
Red Star and BU XIII will play the only "missing game" from the first cycle of the Championships and we will have the complete picture of powers in our league. Dorcol and Podbara are top teams, while we wait will students overcome Red Star and install themselves as the third team.
On Saturday afternoon, the team from Nova Pazova will face Morava Eels (re-established former vice-champions) in historic match. The game will be played at very good pitch of FC Radnicki Stadium, and we will see if the match will be a part of new competition - Development League, which could involve Kolubara Lazarevac and potentially Car Lazar from Krusevac.
On Sunday, at SC Inge will be played Belgrade Championships for U18s. They'll play 9s because they'll have to finish the whole tournament during that day. U18s normally play for first XIII of their own clubs and this is after few years the first step of establishing the competition for this level.
At the end of busy weekend, international game - Belgrade Victor Trophy: Serbia XIII v GB Students. GB Students will be in Belgrade from Friday until Tuesday, I think. They'll play a game v Serbia XIII (which is ad hoc name for team drawn among the players from domestic competition) and then fly to Girona (as it said to me) to play something in Spain (or Catalonia, as many like to say).
I hope that everything is going to be OK and to post some pics here afterwards.

Promotion/relegation will depend on the ability of Development League teams to play v Championship teams and several other criteria that will be introduced form the next season. They play Cup with Championship clubs and although getting better each year, still losing by high margins. They are still weak off the field, but I think that Radnicki (Nova Pazova) will organize Serbian 9s Championship on 20th June, so they have chance to prove that they're move on ascending path.

you guys seem to be quite knowledgeble on serbian RL. does anyway think serbia stand a chance of not coming last in the upcoming european cup (sorry if this has already been discussed) If it was purely on the ability of local players I would be picking a Russia v Serbia final... Maybe the Lebanese... I think these three nations have it over the others in terms of local talent... mayve Wales would give them a good run... but if Wales, Ireland and Scotland get their ESL and NRL players, which Russia, Serbia and lebanon dont have as much... then they will get it. Like Spider said, it all comes to who plays for who. Though I think Sonis experinces in Champio0nships thei year could prove to be invaluable to you and be possibly the xfacteor needed to finish say last or 1st for Serbia. For me Serbia just needs more exposure internationally, to get more experience and they really could be a force. They are by far the best and most professional of the "amateur" nations.

i agree. if those players can regularly reperesent their countries than thats great that theyre in the teams. but if its just one off appearances like a lot of the world cup players, than is that a good thing or a bad thing? on the one hand the local players learn a lot from them. on the other hand it gives countries with hardly any heratige players practically no chance of competing......
on an unrelated subject, when was the atlantic cup announced this for this year?

Rugby league world Magazin, David Nue stated that an atlantic cup will be played, prob jamaica, USA and Japan... though Id be surprised if the SAers arent asked to come in at some point.
Back to your first comment, well that is the million dollar question isnt it... see if the players do one offs for WC it does not help the perception of the sport on the international scale. I'd love to see two ro three NRL/ESL players come into key positions to show players and help teams, but I think the rule should be similar to what germany and the czechs do, no more than 5 heritage players. The rest need to be local players.
Now Serbia and Rusiia have strong local player talent, and as said Soni now is plying his trade at Whitehaven, I have seen some people say he is the best player in Europe outside of France and UK. Germany also have a player that is now in the Halifax reserves, Jimmy Keinhorst, he is the hooker for them and a great player.
Actually germany have a good selection criteria. 1. Have to be citizens of germany or resident for 3 years+, 2. Grandparent rule (Heritage) but only a max of 5 in the national team 3. But with that the grandparebt rul, you have to play for the german exiles in the UK to be considered.
