Marv do you have any idea why the crowd at Toulouse was so low on the weekend? I heard it was about 850 when last year they averaged about 3 times that.

I reckon we are certainly looking at those three coming through this round, if the draw is kind and they can get a home draw, who knows, Lezignan would be my tip to do best, but even Rochdale wont be a push over for them, looking forward to it tomorrow i must say. As for Toulouse I cant say, I heard the crowd reported at about 1200, one thought i had was with the airport stirke any travelling dewsbury fans wouldnt have made it but i cant see them totalling 100 myself. Perhaps its more to do with the standard RL thing of lacsadasical marketing again, maybe the weather wasnt too great in Toulouse? Regardless of the crowd good for then to start with a win and hopefully they follow that up tonight in the cup

One team in and 2 to go... yeah I know it will be wierd... whats he doing out Manchester way. He works down there now mate, had to move away from Cumbria to get the work he wanted. He's enjoying it though. Limoux beaten Skolars 42-16 and in an absolute thriller Lezignan beat Rochdale 32-22 after the lead changed hands time and time again, it was tied up twice at 18 all then 22 all before FCL broke the deadlock with an interception try. Barrow V Catalans Dragons in Rd 4 for me! Draw is at 7.30pm UK time on BBC radio 5

I think the draw is pretty unkind, Widnes will be about as tough as it gets outside a superleague draw for FCL,
Leigh going to Limoux will be a good day for their fans but pretty much no chance of them winning it.
Saints and Toulouse well, enough said
Even Dragons have a potential banana skin allthough they should come through that one against Salford

Saints and Toulouse well, enough said Even Dragons have a potential banana skin allthough they should come through that one against Salford Lezignan and Limoux won't be favorites but IMO they are both capable of winning those games. Limoux haven't been doing as well this season as last but hopefully the home ground advantage can get them over the line. Lezignan are also a decent shot again Wigan St Pats. Catalans should beat Salford at home, but stranger things have happened. It will be very interesting to see how well they go when Bosc gets back. Toulouse have been dealt the worst of the draw, an ideal situation would have been a Championship side at Home or a SL side at home could have drawn some big interest atleast. It didn't turn out that way but they need to try and get the best result posible from a trip to Saints, IMO that would be keeping them under 50. A couple of questions, if I may. 1. Can Lezignan's former Crusaders players travel with them to England? 2. Once the Elite season finishes is there anything to stop Elite players being "loaned out" to Toulouse to give them a better team and keep the best Elite players fit for hopeful National selection? Also for Catalans reserves/UTC players. Players like Barthau, Vaccari, Greseque, Touxagas, Bentleys etc.

Its do-able for them, but they would have to be at their absolute best and Widnes/leigh have real off days I reckon. I hope one or both can do it. Catalans should beat Salford at home, but stranger things have happened. It will be very interesting to see how well they go when Bosc gets back. They should do it but what I am saying is it could have been easier, All SL ties in the cup can go either way. It didn't turn out that way but they need to try and get the best result posible from a trip to Saints, IMO that would be keeping them under 50. Yeah I would go with that, maybe they can make it closer, I think Toulouse focus has to be on the championship this year too. A couple of questions, if I may. 1. Can Lezignan's former Crusaders players travel with them to England? No, Jye Mullane played full back in the absence of Tony Duggan and a French guy Micheal Tribillac covered for Quinn at 5/8th Tribbilac had a quality game I thought. Those guys are banned from entering the uk for 10 years. someone mentioned it on TRL i think, if they got a home draw they could play its pretty mad! No, in world cup year a few French guys played in the UK to stay fit after the Elite season, Adel Fellous and Damien Couturier did it, I think Toulouse should try and bolster their squad after the Elite finishes, their squad is pretty light

Its do-able for them, but they would have to be at their absolute best and Widnes/leigh have real off days I reckon. I hope one or both can do it. That's right I agree. I think Limoux have a better chance than Lezignan because of slightly weaker opposition and they're at home. They should do it but what I am saying is it could have been easier, All SL ties in the cup can go either way. Again, I agree. Yeah I would go with that, maybe they can make it closer, I think Toulouse focus has to be on the championship this year too. Well hopefully all goes well for them, it would have been nice for them to go out to a Sl side at home atleast but now focus should be on championship, if 2012 is to be they have ALOT of hard work to do. Those guys are banned from entering the uk for 10 years. someone mentioned it on TRL i think, if they got a home draw they could play its pretty mad! I thought that would be the case but hadn't heard for sure. Didn't Tribillac play for UTC last year? No, in world cup year a few French guys played in the UK to stay fit after the Elite season, Adel Fellous and Damien Couturier did it, I think Toulouse should try and bolster their squad after the Elite finishes, their squad is pretty light If they could get some plyers like Kane Bentley, Touxagas, Vaccari, Stacul etc it would do wonders for their depth IMO. Bentley, Vaccari and Stacul are all SL standard and not being used so why not? Would anybody else from Elite make a major difference that I'm missing? even a few players like you said to bolster the squad which is very shallow would do the world of good. Say they could get K & A Bentley, Gigot/Barthau/Guash, Touxagas, Vaccari and Stacul it would wonders for their finals chances IMO. 1. Bromley 2. Stacul 3. Planas 4. Duport 5. Vaccari 6. Villegas 7. N Wynne 8. M Griffi 9. K Bentley 10. Worth 11. A Bentley 12. Touxagas 13. Anselme 14. Mitchell 15. Worrell 16. T Wynne 17. Maria 18. Gigot/Barthau/Gaush 19. Houles 20. Gout IMO that's an impressive Championship side.

As much as its nice for everyone to have a cup run, the focus has to be on the championship, especially as it seems they will have to thankfully play by the rules. I thought that would be the case but hadn't heard for sure. Didn't Tribillac play for UTC last year? I had forgotten he signed from them, well remembered mate! If they could get some plyers like Kane Bentley, Touxagas, Vaccari, Stacul etc it would do wonders for their depth IMO. Bentley, Vaccari and Stacul are all SL standard and not being used so why not? But yeah, more dragons fringe players should play for TO, UTC should be for the kids.

But yeah, more dragons fringe players should play for TO, UTC should be for the kids. Bloody oath, K Bentley is a great player from what I've seen of him. IMO Walters perhaps should have played him instead of Barthau in the early rounds and shuffled the line-up. The experience for Barthau will be good for him though. I would have Kane on the bench every week and TBH if I were him I'd be looking elsewhere because I could name a few SL clubs where he would be first choice. At the very least he could move to Toulouse if he doesn't get his fair share which Walters has never really given him IMO. Exactly the same thing with Baile, why he is starting centre every week is a disgrace as far as I'm concerned. Interesting that you mention the "Walters Out Drum" as I still beleive this should be the case and have since very early on despite them making the prelims last year. Their squad is one of the better SL squads yet they have been playing like a cellar-dweller team.
