I think Eddie Paea played his way out of the half back spot against the kiwis last week. They just ran through him all day so i'm guessing Joel Taufa'ao can tackle. In saying that though i think Paea has the attacking skill to rip the Irish to shreds so not sure i agree with the decision. Expect the Tongans to charge full steam through the middle and unless Ireland can aim up it could be an ugly scoreline for them. This is exactly the sort of team players like Lauaki love playing against, he's ineffective against other big hitting islanders but I bet he'll rate his chances against the paddy's.
PS watch for Jennings, he's electric!!!

BTW according to wikipedia Joel Taua'fo plays for souths but it dosent seem he has had much first grade. He would've been behind Paea at Souths then who was already quite far down the pecking order. Latu is a livewire but is prone to brain explosions, and well, the pack is obviously gonna be big and nasty! He was one of their best last week. I haven't seen much of him since he went to England but he really impressed me. does anyone else think they look light on quality on the bench, Luaki is ok but no world beater I think the bench is alright. Manukafoa and Lauaki provide some impact if needed and Moa provides a more sensible approach if they need to settle down. Over here Ireland's paying $18 to win the group. I don't think they're bad at all and expect three very close games. This one, to me, is very hard to pick - a lot of unknowns.

Jeez, ill discipline from Tonga. The second Irish try should not have been... miles forward, but hell, Tonga are their own worst eneamy at the moment.

best game of comp so far, i really thought ireland were gonna do it at one point, tongans disipline was shocking as it was against englandin 06, if they play like that against a better side they would be embarresed, they played like a side with no brains, even in the last mins they were throwing stupid offloads.

Great game, shame the Irish couldn't egt home but god knows they had enough chances.
Tonga's disipline was shocking, Mateo was the worst he wouldn't take the hint that Ganson didn't want to talk to him. The one thing I have notiuced about Ganson is he doesn't take shit, which is good I think.
Platt had a shocker, leaving that 40/20 go was unforgivable and Tonga scored the game winner on the back of it.

Great game, shame the Irish couldn't egt home but god knows they had enough chances. They did have chances, both sides squandered chances IMO, It was almost as if Tonga wanted to prove they were bigger and stronger and a few times got hauled into touch after taking them on down the flanks Tonga's disipline was shocking, Mateo was the worst he wouldn't take the hint that Ganson didn't want to talk to him. The one thing I have notiuced about Ganson is he doesn't take shit, which is good I think. It is good, but a player should be able to ask the ref his reasoning behind a desision, sometimes ganson doesnt allow that, but overall its useless talking to the ref, they dont change their minds on the back of players comments so its a waste of time and tonga were quite rightly disiplined for it. Platt had a shocker, leaving that 40/20 go was unforgivable and Tonga scored the game winner on the back of it. he did, dropped a couple early on too, i think they would have been better off with Karl Fitzpatrick (7) at fullback as he is usually a fullback, allthough I thought he was a constant scourge for tonga in attack with his mazy runs and neat step.

I know that is fekin freaky, 90m on the first, 50 on the second, 60 on the third and 70 on the 4th! I loved the commentators by the end saying oh its only 70 m he didnt strike that well at all.! Lota feking laughs. That's what will inspire people to the games... I hope... fanstatsic.
