It's like only England and New Zealand are the only one's trying to help out International League.
I don't count the PM's team either they should make it a fully fledge test

Dissapointing they won't play Wales again, infact I think Wales, France and England should have a tri-series every year regardless.
I would think about scrapping the PMXIII game and instead give PNG an annual test against the loser of the ANZAC test. Play it the week after the NRL GF so both teams are full strength and preparing for tournaments.

i fully support the idea of a southern tir nations between PNG, AUS & NZ to run alongside a northern tri nations between ENG, Wales & France. there would be a few kinks that need to be ironed out. If England only play France and Wales (lesser quality teams) then they will not develop as fast as Australia and NZ so need to to play Aus & NZ regularly aswell. If a tri nations was to go ahead it must not take anything away from the european cup , which i think it will as its taking to top two teams out of the tournament. in an ideal world there would be all these tournament ideas but the NRL and super league already have too many games
the prime minister XIII game means too much to the PNG public to take it away from them. With the loser of the ANZAC test playing PNG it sounds like a punishment.

Apparently Souths are going to block Sam Burgess from playing against France in June.
Didn't the RLIF put in a rule about this? i.e The player must sit out the club game in that round

tbh i didnt think thye would have even considered it. did the tigers release ellis last year? i think they can survive without burgess and ellis for this game. if it was the four nations than this would pose a big problem

I mean they do it for the Kangaroos and Kiwis... so why be different to England and France. The Kiwis don't select ESL players, but none the less they are still available.

fair point. also , it would give the test more exposure as people would pay to see burgess and ellis back on england soil again. its a long way to go for a mid year test though. i see both sides. burgess is integral to souths now and they dont want him jetlaged and missing games
